I would stay here again for sure! This is a quiet, beautiful, very comfortable space. Very clean and the owner seemed to think of everything. I only have good things to say about the experience with the property owner and the space.
We liked this property so much we stayed again with friends. Hope to get back again. Semi secluded and a lot of wild animals. (Deer turkeys rabbits etc)
Great location close to everything! All items needed are provided to make things much easier. Quiet property with a beautiful creek! Very clean property would definitely recommed staying here.
It was beautiful. Even though the cabin was right on the road, it was still very peaceful sitting on the back porch. Loved hearing and seeing the wildlife. Cabin was very clean and had everything you could possibly need. Owner was quick to answer questions and provided lots of information for things to see and places to go.
Nice place for two families to stay. If it's going to be warm (90 degrees F for multiple days), plan your time accordingly to stay cool.
Enjoyed the deer and wild turkeys on multiple days!
We had such a lovely time. My elderly parents, sister and brother in law from Montana met us at the cabin and we stayed together. We all had privacy and yet were able to relax and cook with friends in the beautiful surroundings. It was by far the cleanest and most stocked cabin we had ever stayed in, there was not a cobweb or dead fly anywhere. I especially loved the bunkhouse bathroom. They thought of everything and it was welcoming as well. We hope to come back soon.
Very clean property with plenty of exterior room. Great deck to watch the turkeys and deer daily. Owner responds to txt almost immediately. We would recommend to friends and stay again.
We loved our stay! The cabin was very well-kept and cozy - the bed and furniture were really comfortable and everything was very clean. The outdoor area was so beautiful too! It was so relaxing to sit on the huge deck in the evenings and listen to the water running in the creek. The owner was really helpful in providing information and helping out as well. We would definitely recommend this cabin!
We spent four nights. We used it as a landing pad while visiting the surrounding area. We really enjoyed the deck and cooking in the evenings. We saw several wild animals. The beds were comfortable and the house well stocked. I would stay again.
The property is very quiet and has alot of beautiful landscape. Huge deck, two cabins and camper hookups all were helpful. Plenty of room to run. Only issue was hard to keep main cabin cool in very high temperatures. Overall would definitely return and recommend.
Beautiful setting, clean and welcoming. The bunkhouse was chilly for this time of year with no insulation in walls. Perfect place to ride cycle from to many sights available in the black hills area. Appears to be a work in process at the location but will be perfect when finished.
Clean well cared for cabin and property. Well stocked kitchen. We traveled with 2 kids, age 7 and 9, the cabin was just right size for family of four. We didn't use the bunk house but nice addition for larger group or older kids. We did use the upstairs loft area. Large back porch overlooking creek. Felt secluded though very close to Spearfish/stores. Owner and property manager very helpful and available if needed.
The cabin, bunkhouse and the extra bathroom were very well stocked (better than any other place we have ever rented). Everything was clean and very inviting. The deck is huge and has multiple sitting areas. We saw deer and turkeys on a daily basis. The grill needed a little TLC because only about 1/3 of the burners were working when we tried to grill. After a thorough cleaning of the burners my husband got it working. The only other thing is that there is a large deep sink hole in the middle of the driveway blacktop between the deck and the garage. Be careful if you are walking outside after dark, my husband fell when walking the dog at night. We knew it was there, but it can be easily missed after dark. Over all, we really loved our stay and would definitely come again.
Overall this property is great. It does need some things. The owner is great. Responds right away, and so does his cleaning lady. Very helpful. The cabin is great. Deck is awesome. False Bottom Creek is awesome as well. It dried up twice while we were there. But it rained a bunch, and started running again. So nice to hear it. The garbage situation is less than adequate. For us anyway. We cook at home mostly. And while it was dumped once, we refilled it by the time we left. So next person is starting out with a full dumpster. The cookware is quite limited. We purchased a frying pan, the ones that are there are pretty bad. Plenty of dishes, glasses, ect. Its very close to town, but feels like its not. Its a great property, and the 2nd bathroom in its own building works great as well. Id stay there again.
We love the location of the cabin and the lady that cleans it did a wonderful job. There were some items that were in need of repair last year and they still were not fixed. Bath room vent doesn't work, two of the vertical blinds had and have missing segments, window crank in washroom doesn't work and the door knob in the washroom is defective. The gas heating stove didn't seem to work in the automatic modes ie, the blower /gas logs themselves. Aside from these items our stay was very pleasant. The owner let us in a night early and we thank him for that.
We absolutely enjoyed our time at this cabin! It’s close to town yet in the country, the bridge and creek are stunning and the abundance of nice little touches made our stay wonderful.
We woke to wild turkeys in the yard, deer and chipmunks.
Morning coffee on the porch is a perfect way to start the day and grilling on the deck at night is a perfect way to end it.
Couldn’t be happier!
