On the Frio River

On the Frio River! Over 2 acres of private river frontage. Located less than 1 mile from the shops and restaurants in downtown Leakey. Fully equipped kitchen, sheets, and towels. Plenty of room whether enjoying the shade on the deck or soaking up the sun on the banks of the Frio. Located across the street from The Pecan Farm, making a short walk(or tube) over for a cold drink and a meal!
*** We are currently under drought conditions and our river is struggling. We are praying for rain so the river is flowing full and living its best life.

Very Relaxing

The property was 'as advertised'. There's been a drought so, the access to water was limited everywhere in the area. But we had a great time of fellowship on the patio and around the fire pit. If we go back to Leakey, we'd rent this property again.

Quiet & Relaxing 2 Night Stay

Enjoying Garner State Park

This property worked very well for us, and our short visit to Garner State Park. It was clean, cosey, and very convenient for us. The host was very responsive and provided helpful information for our stay.

Great location & nice house!

Nothing owner can do about this, but the river was very low, and we had hoped to get in it & float. The home's set up is great, b/c neither bathroom is inside a bedroom. The owner was very kind to offer us early check-in, and use of their wood pile. We really appreciated that. The only suggestion I'd make is to make the half bath door not stick. It was hard to close. We would definitely come back! Had a wonderful time despite the low river!

Perfect Getaway

This place is amazing! The house was clean and the location was close to Garner, Lost Maples and only one mile from town. The butterflies by the river were magical. There were so many! Our two dachshunds travelled with us, and they loved the vacation, too! Deer passed by the house at dawn and dusk. We picked up dinner from Vinny’s Pizza, Mama Choles and Bent Rim Grill less than 5 minutes away. The kitchen was equipped, but I don’t cook much on vacation. We had a great time exploring the day and coming back to relax in peace and comfort. The night sky was breathtaking. You can see so many stars! We can’t wait to come back.

Great place!

This house was perfect for our long weekend in Leakey. We wanted a place near Lost Maples State Park and Garner State Park and the house is about 20 min from both. It is stocked with everything you could ever need and the host is one of THE nicest and most responsive I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting from! Love that there is working Wi-Fi available too!!!!! 5 stars!

Summer Vacation

We enjoyed staying at this property. The water was low but there were other areas nearby to use to get in the water. We used the grill and firepit for S'Mores.

Frio River Stay

We had a great time. The only thing that would have made it better was if the River had water but you can’t help the drought. The house was perfect. Great A/C and nice hot water!

Although the Frio was very low and there was no water behind the house it was a lovely stay. We will come back again! The house was clean and there was a great back porch. The host even left condiments and coffee for us!

Great week at the river

We had a nice week with wonderful, and rare, cool Texas weather for late May. The river was cold, and we swam, fished and a great time. The house was perfect, the bbq grill and fire pit were perfect. The bird watching was excellent. Those humming birds are crazy about their sugar water! Thank you for a wonderful week!

Sweet little cabin

The cabin was very well appointed with everything you need and very comfortable. We loved sitting on the back deck watching the birds visit the feeders! River was very low but we could imagine what a great spot it will be once Texas finally gets some rain!

Short and Sweet

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the river. The access to the river was great and we easily found deep and shallow waters to suit. My kids loved having access to the kayak and paddled up and down the river for a long while. A campfire was easy to make and had enough chairs for us all to enjoy s'mores. The house was plenty big for the 5 of us -we had our own space, but also together space big enough for everyone. All in all, a great trip!
