Special note for early/late season renters: This is a seasonal rental, we do not provide full-time whole house heating. We collect a $100 non-returnable fee for a limit of 1 pet per cabin in addition to a cleaning deposit. If you wish to have the house cleaned - please notify us in advance and we will set up a cleaning service at an additional cost. There are portable space heaters provided in case of unseasonably cold weather.

About the host
Hosted by Jessica Kemper

Our family has lived on The Great Sacandaga Lake for decades. We are from a small village located on the lake, Northville, NY. The property - "Rocky Manor" has been in the family for generations and will be for more to come. Being able to share this property with others is what makes this place magical. Watching families make their own memories - their own traditions - enjoying the sandy beach - boating - fishing on the island - watching breathtaking sunsets that are never the same - brings us joy. We have been blessed with life-long friendships from prior guests - some of which have been renting from us for over 15 years.
Why they chose this property
"Rocky Manor" is Located in "The Town of Day" in Hadley, NY. Whether you are renting one cabin - or all 4 - The private 300 ft sandy beach is one-of-a kind and the sunsets are too. There is plenty of space for everyone. We are a short trip away from Saratoga Springs, and Lake George. The sunsets are always breathtaking. The weekdays are quiet on this part of the lake. You may see a few bald eagles flying overhead or catching their next dinner right in front of you. On the weekends during July and August - it is fun just to sit on the beach and watch all of the boats go past - for a trip to the dam for the day. Rocky Manor has great fishing as well with the large rocks under water and an old steel bridge that fish love to hide near.
What makes this property unique
Rocky Manor has been in our family prior to "The Great Sacandaga Lake" being made. There is history that goes back to Indian Tribes - harnessing nature - for centuries. Our guests have even found artifacts on our property. The sunsets are one-of-a-kind and ever changing. Come see for yourself! For more history about the Great Sacandaga Lake - look into "Harnessing Nature" - a documentary that was made explaining how the lake was made and why. It is fascinating. The underwater steel bridge pictures seen in this documentary were filmed right in front of our property.
