A turn of the century villa with an interesting history! For it's first 30 years it was the 2nd story of one of the areas original farmsteads before being split from the ground level and relocated 100m north to where it sits today. Privately nestled in amongst heritage trees on a large section you could be mistaken for being in the country. Lovingly renovated and restored in 2019, this beautiful 3 bedroom/2 bathroom villa now offers the perfect mix of modern conveniences and original features.
The house was built throughout with Rimu (a NZ native hardwood) but had been covered up with carpets, vinyl or paint for years. Post renovation the Rimu has been set free. Wooden floors restored, doors & trim stripped back and new benchtops installed in the kitchen and bathrooms. Fully equipped modern kitchen with a center island making it great for cooking and entertaining. 2 large lounges located on opposite sides of the house, making one a great morning spot to catch the rising sun through the trees and the other for the afternoon setting sun. High ceilings, central heating, 2 fireplaces and outdoor patio dining makes this a very comfortable house both inside and out. Note: A security camera operates in the front entry area.

We were a group of 4 ladies. We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. It was everything we could have asked for and we were reluctant to leave it. Would highly recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in Nelson.
We had such a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. Everything was extremely well set up and very comfortable. We truly felt at home which was great given we were staying for 10 days. In fact, we didn't want to leave! We will certainly return soon.
Beautiful home. Everything you need including books, board games, dvds. Spare bedding. Plenty of space for our group of 6.Beautiful mornings having coffee out on the deck.

Loved the back terrace with the BBQ and evening sun
We loved the location of this property just a few minutes drive from Nelson. This property has been beautifully restored and we enjoyed the ambience and size. There were two bathrooms - a must for the four of us. We would come back again. Thank you to our hosts.
This property was perfect for our group of six adults and two young children. Close and easy access to CBD.
Two bathrooms and two living rooms, plus trampoline for kids, worked really well for us.
Lovely older home that was very well provisioned and provided a great base for touring the area. Close to town and nearby groceries. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. We very much enjoyed our stay in Nelson.
Wonderful place to stay. Access a bit steep (stairs) and uneven (concrete path with an occasional step) for elderley - most of us were close to or over 80. But spacious living conditions more than compensated. Lovely warm central heating and real fire places - we struck some quite cool weather. Thank you Tom and Taya
The property was perfect n had all ghat we neede and more. Our whanau really enjoyed the character of the house n the hustory. We loved the wooden floors the Big big windows n the kitchen spce it was just sospcial. And some great family memories made
This was a beautiful home for myself and four friends to stay at while visiting Nelson. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc. to cook meals with. It was a quiet location and easy to get to. Unfortunately, it rained during our stay so we couldn’t go outside and enjoy the surroundings, but we were able to build a fire in one of the two fireplaces and enjoy an evening inside instead. The home was very clean. Beds and seating areas were very comfortable as well. We’d definitely stay here again! Thank you Tim and Taya for being such wonderful hosts!
Thank you. Beautiful house & garden. Central heating was wonderful. Fully equipped kitchen.
Nice & close to town.
Had we realised this was next to very busy road I wouldn’t have stayed here but everything else was perfect
We were a group of 5 parents in Nelson to watch our children perform in the National kapa haka comp. The house was perfect for us had everything we needed. Easy to keep tidy, very clean. While we were there it was very cold at night so the heating system was a savior.
This style of house is just the sort we already loved. It has been restored fabulously and works exceptionally well as a short term stay. Location was handy to anywhere - good walking paths from the house for the keen walkers and easy to get to the central city and into the country as well. The house is very well equipped- only unusual feature is the inaccessible (without climbing on a stool) location for the microwave!

Perfect base for families to explore Nelson
Very close to the hospital and short drive into centre of Nelson. The owners have done a fabulous job of renovating the house inside. The beds were very comfortable too.
