Lovely ocean view from the deck but with that comes multiple flights of stairs. Reasonable walking distance to town, clean and tidy and check in process simple.
The property is a dream location - ocean veiws with stunning native vegetation. Quiet within a short walk to beach. House features all mod conveniences, with many extra, thoughtful additions. A true gem
We were a group of 10 that stayed at this property for 2 nights. The house is set over 3 levels with amazing views from the spacious living area on level 2 and bedrooms on level 3. Plenty of areas both inside and out to relax and enjoy the Lorne vibe. We had a great stay and would return to this property again. Thank you Veronica for being a great host.
We had a great weekend away. The house is in a great spot with fantastic views, comfortable walking distance into town but still nice and quiet. The house is really comfortable and well equipped. The host (Veronica) was always repsonsive and accommodating to our needs. We would be happy to stay here again.
Nice and clean holiday house with good water views. House is on a steep land so elderly people or people with special needs may find it difficult to walk up the steps. Otherwise, a great place and host was very responsive. Thank you Veronica.
We had a wonderful stay. We stayed at this house over the weekend for the Amy Gillet Bike ride and it was just perfect. The house is well equipped with everything we needed. The view is stunning. It is very close to the beach and an easy walk to the town centre.
Highly recommended for larger groups. There is space enough for everyone with 2 living rooms and a sun room. No bunk beds made it perfect for our group.

Becareful of this lady...
This last tried to charge us extra for linen. In the description it stated towels provided... but contacted me after full price was paid and asked if we were providing linen or did we want to pay $300 extra for linen
I Also had trouble contacting her... not sure why
Well equiped property and good for large groups. It was surprising there was no wifi and smart TV which I'd expect for a property of this caliber, it wasn't an issue for us this time but may prevent us booking again.
I would just suggest to owner to ensure it's really clear on booking that smaller groups won't have all 5 bedrooms and what is defined as a small group. We were a group of 8 friends and assumed that would be considered large (given house max 10 people) however were disappointed this wasn't case and initially were therefore only going to have access to 4 rooms. Luckily the owner kindly changed this when requested.
We enjoyed our stay at this house which was well presented and clean. Located a reasonable distance from the main shopping strip made for an enjoyable walk into town for a well deserved coffee.

About the host
Hosted by Veronica Daffey
My family has had property in Lorne for well over 40 years as we just love the natural environment with the bush and the ocean and there is plenty of birds and wildlife. There are so many lovely walking tracks along the beach to the pier as well as through many of the bush areas where waterfalls & rivers can be found. I have been managing holiday rentals privately in Lorne for over 20 years so I have plenty of experience in this area and strive to give the holiday maker the best possible stay by making sure everything is as perfect as it can be so they can relax and enjoy every minute.
Why they chose this property
This property is situated in the perfect spot overlooking Louttit Bay with 180 degree views around to Anglesea lighthouse and back to the Lorne pier. You can see the waves crashing on the shore across the road and at the right time of the year, you can even see whales migrating south or dolphins or sea lions swimming by. You can walk across the road to the beach or take a 10 minute walk along a sealed, mostly flat footpath to the local supermarket or drive to the town centre in 5 minutes. The best part is, it is not in the heart of the town centre where in peak period can be extremely busy & noisy, it is in North Lorne away from the hustle & bustle where you can completely relax & chill out amongst the rolling of the waves and amoungst all the beautiful wildlife.
What makes this property unique
This is a unique property as it has 3 levels and can accommodate up to 10 people which overlooks Louttit Bay. We often have 2 families stay comfortably as it has several different living zones and guests can escape if they want their own peace & quiet. They can also come together as a large family and enjoy the outdoor living areas as well as a large dining, kitchen & living area, sunroom/office and smaller downstairs TV area for smaller children. The kitchen is fully equipped to cater for 10 people so you can be assured that you will have most items you require if you enjoy cooking and entertaining and there is also a BBQ on the middle deck which overlooks the ocean with outdoor tables & chairs to enjoy in the warmer weather.
