Welcoming guests since 1913, No.14's "day job" is as a unique hostel in the Blue Mountains. However, you will have exclusive use of the house during your booking.
Perfectly located to enjoy all that the area has to offer. We have no TVs or music etc but, when booking the whole house, you may BYO music system (and kids). Perfect for groups of family and friends, small team getaways, workshops!
We are a quiet and peaceful place to stay. Strict noise restrictions apply to full house bookings to respect of our residential location from 10pm. This mainly affects being outside on the deck/verandah, but also transfer from inside that may disturb our neighbours.
The owners live separately at the rear of the property and use side path for access. There is an interconnecting door within the house but this is locked. The owner will only enter if there is an emergency (eg fire alarm) or we cannot reach you on your mobile in the case of a noise complaint from neighbours.

We were a group of 24 - two extended families brought together for the marriage of our daughter at Dryridge Estate. Our 3 nights at 14 Lovel St just made the experience all the more wonderful. It was the perfect venue for us, so warm, inviting, clean and just a bit quirky. We couldn’t be happier. Thank you!
Our family group of 18 were very well catered for at Lovel st, plenty of space and nooks for all to relax and unwind.
The kitchen is great for big groups and very well appointed with all equipment needed to make individual meals or big group meals.
The host was generous with all of the basic breakfast amenities and bathroom essentials provided. Communication with our host was clear and timely, really appreciated being able to stay at the property.
Really good value and in a very convenient location. Thank you!
The perfect place for four siblings and their families to get together for a post Christmas holiday together. No. 14 was excellent with lots of rooms for sleeping, a great kitchen for cooking for 18 people and dining spaces for sharing the resultant meals. It is in a great location and is clean and comfortable and a little bit quirky.
14 Lovel St, Katoomba is a perfect place for family gatherings. 23 of us enjoyed a five day stay with no problems. Plenty of beds, showers and toilets.
We had a lovely stay at this character filled home which was great for our group. Very conveniently located for walks into Katoomba and close to Leura too. Annette was a great host with good communication leading up to our stay.
we were very comfortable .The only 'complaint' is that it was advertised as parking available which I took to mean off street parking. There was parking in the street but not easy to transfer luggage etc as there is a raised footway near the entrance of the house, and luggage had to be lifted up onto the path and pushed under the rail.
Otherwise the property was spacious, clean warm and inviting. Thank you Annette
No. 14 was a wonderful place to stay. We were up for a youth conference, and the youth felt right at home. It was lovely to be greeted on our arrival to a warm house on such a cold night.
we had a group of 10 staying for a weekend and the property was perfect for us as there was plenty of space, each person having there own room. it was close enough to the main activities and allowed us to have a great weekend with little trouble for such a large group

We had a lovely extended family stay at No.14. The host was proactive in communication and it was easy and comfortable, the number of bedrooms was brilliant as everyone had their own space.
