Please be aware that our beautiful beach town did experience damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Our community is working quickly to restore beaches, businesses, and properties. Local experts currently estimate that the beginning of 2025 will offer an excellent travel experience for our valued guests. Please book with confidence for 2025 stay dates! Our availability calendars are up to date, and we anticipate our area to be majorly restored by Jan 1st, 2025.

If you are looking to stay for the remainder of 2024, our availability calendar will be up to date and we would love to host you. Please be aware that you may experience less amenities, some intermittent beach inaccessibility due to ongoing restoration, and less restaurants and activities in the area through the end of 2024. Our community is grateful for your support as local businesses continue to reopen their doors. Located on the #1 rated Sunset Beach, The Sunset Beach House is a totally unique, oceanfront oasis. Resting on 100 feet of private coastline, every residence features lanais and balconies overlooking historic Sunset Beach. In October 2020, the entire property was renovated and reimagined as Treasure Island’s only truly boutique experience. New sand, landscaping additions, exterior showers for every unit, two new gas grills, and complimentary paddle boards have been added to the already spectacular grounds. The property lends itself perfectly to gatherings, family reunions, and most notably, one of a kind beach weddings and receptions. The yard comfortably accommodates up to 100 guests.

The property comprises the historic main house, three beach bungalows, and 10,000 square feet of a white, sand backyard. The house is available as a 3 bedroom home that can sleep 16 people, and can also be split into two residences for smaller groups. While the interiors include modern conveniences like complimentary wi-fi and state of the art televisions and appliances, the grounds promote the peaceful enjoyment of your private retreat. In addition to the freshly laid sand and landscaping, you will find plenty of lounge chairs, adirondack chairs, outdoor dining spaces, and a beach front deck designed to watch the perfect sunsets Sunset Beach is famous for. The yard has plenty of light and shade, and offers both a private beach experience as well as a nestled reprieve from the sun. Enjoy your morning coffee, or rest under the palms and pine trees.

Great stay
The property was very clean, great location, beach access. The bed was very confortable, bathroom looked like it has recently been remodeled, very nice. This is a perfect space for 2 people, probably would be a little crowded for 4. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would highly recommend to friends, and would cone back again

Perfect Location
This is the perfect location for a quiet beach vacation. It had all the essentials for our low key trip. It’s definitely small, but we didn’t spend much time inside when the outside was so perfect!

This property is nothing like the pictures. The pictures show a very nice patio with 2 tables and ample chairs. There is 1 table with zero chairs. That's right..patio table and no chairs. There are no beach chairs nor any beach towels. There is a beautiful beach right out the back door but no chairs. We had to go buy beach towels as well as exta toilet paper. There is a coffee maker but no complementary coffee. The bathroom sink is in the shower. There is a non GFI electrical outlet right next to the sink...when you shower you can actually stick your finger in the outlet ! There is no fan in the bathroom...thus the moisture has caused mold. The pull out sofa bed is broken. They did give us an air matress so my son could sleep on the floor. On the positive...its a great location which has been totally neglected by the owner. Overall very disappointing stay.

Beautiful spot on the beach
This is such a cozy and beautiful spot. We absolutely recommend it. However, I had to do some scrubbing before it was clean. I did send pictures to the management and was assured it would be noted. I also didn’t notice in the pictures that the bathroom sink is actually inside the shower and it was not fastened down. Very inconvenient and awkward. The sofa is not facing the tv making for more awkwardness and twisted necks. We were not aware that a plumber was coming to fix the toilet and just about gave me a heart attack! He was super good about it, but it would have been nice to know he was coming. The unit is in need of some paint and a little tlc. We stayed in Beach Unit 3. The yard is exactly as pictured and the beach amazing! Would definitely love to return just to enjoy the location!

Perfect!
Absolutely perfect location. The perfect way to actually RELAX in Florida with children. Direct access to the beach made for actually enjoying the beach all day long. No need to drive around looking for parking spots, no need to haul everything in totes and coolers to spend the day on the beach. Having "home ammenties" meant I could feed the family with regular meals and healthy snacks! Loved the outdoor shower for being in and out often. We had Walmart deliver our groceries within a few hours of checking in so we didn't have to waste any of our rental time on "errands" . Patio furniture outside, so we could eat and relax. The "backyard" (before the actual beach) had shady spots (perfect for younger ones who were in the sun all day) and a place to call "ours" when the beach was busier. Caddys Restaurant took us only a few minutes of beach-walk to get there! Used the washer and dryer with no problems. The internet was a spotty, couldn't access most of the time. We really only wanted it to stream the kids favorite show as down-time before bed while we cleaned up for the nite. Cable worked well enough for the few times we wanted to watch TV so not a huge deal. My only recommendations would be to provide beach towels for the guests and to configure "drying racks" inside the home. The walk-in closest behind the fridge was a perfect place to store our Suitcases, but there is plenty of room to install long rods for drying items thru out the day (such as swim suits, towels) or even command hooks thru out the house would be helpful for a family with several wet suits. Absolutely does not change my review and would stay again in a heartbeat!

The one good thing this property has going for it is the location. If you can over look the tiny cozy space along with the sink in the shower, and no internet access then you are going to love it

Reviewer Comments: Good time, great location and outdoor space, cant beat the beach and short walk to it. walkable on the beach to close bar/restaurant etc. This is why you come to this place. however, the picture of the house is slightly deceiving, the beach hugger is one of the smaller rooms attach to the right of the larger house in the picture. not sure I would call it newly remodeled. It is small - more like a studio since the bedroom walls do not go to the ceiling. bathroom is tight. definitely more suited for 2 rather than 3-4. kitchen is challenging with cabinets that all hit each other making them hard to open. did have enough kitchen cooking ware/dining ware but no cleaning supplies such as dish soap etc. the towels you get are the ones you use the whole trip unless you do laundry on the facility. we also had issues with the TV not connecting to wifi. the company did try to remedy this but it was unsuccessful after a handful of calls. this was not a huge issue since we were not there for TV.so while some issues with place itself, it did work for a good budget. I will say they let us check in early which was HUGE plus. again, cannot beat the location, the outdoor space/courtyard and the beach. Come for the location and outdoors, this is just where you sleep

This property is cozy, clean and appropriately advertised. It is good for two people. The bathroom was very small and quite different as the sink is sitting in the shower.It was as close to the beach as you could get. We loved walking out the door and being on the beach. I would stay there again.

Perfect location
Place is very small, some repairs need to be done(broken window, rusted bathroom door). No beach towels or beach chairs. No hairdryer. There were dishwasher pods left to do dishes but no dishwasher. Very small bathroom. If you are a larger adult, you probably will have trouble. Back courtyard beautiful but bedroom window faces very busy street so loud at night.

This property is an oasis, close to conveniences but offers a quiet old Florida atmosphere & escape. Shaded, peaceful, private... It’s beautiful. I’ve only stayed in the house and wanted to try a “hugger”. There are three of these small quaint attached beach bungalows. I choose Hugger 1 because it was on the far end and to me it is the most private. I love that I can park right in front of my door, walk in and through the hall into its cozy living space then step out the back door to a decked patio & the welcoming sand. The deck has a small table and a larger round table for seating. ( I brought an extra beach umbrella for the patio table) beyond the deck is a wide sandy area nestled amongst Australian pines & coconut palms. There’s are plenty of chairs for lounging and sitting, picnic tables & outdoor grill. A small path through the sea oats that provide a border and barrier lead you down to the beach & awaiting waves. It’s lovely. The property is everything I look for when staying on the beach. Hugger 1 is charming. It’s small but perfect for two people & will accommodate 4. The dining table is very small & tucked under the window in the corner of the small kitchen. You have everything you need to prepare meals. I cook and don’t generally eat out but maybe once when I’m at the beach so I appreciate that the kitchen has the necessary pots & pans. A negative would be there isn’t much counter space but I knew that would be the case before renting based on the description on line. There were a couple of wash rags & dish towels but no pot holders. I ended up using a wash cloth to take hot pans from the oven. Other conveniences missing were a blow dryer & an ironing board. A quick call to the office will rectify that. Over all I fully enjoyed this stay. I’m not there to hang out inside. It’s c

This was our third visit to this particular location due to price, privacy, location and ease of beach access. However, we found on this visit that things seem to have slipped off a little. The restrooms are tiny and the shower head needs repair in beach hugger 1.The refrigerator was less than adequate for our needs but we made it work, although buying ice constantly at the local 7-11 was a bit inconvenient. We had to request extra trash bags, request light bulb replacement in the laundry room and in order to run the dryers we had to pick up another person so they could see the settings; we had no men with us. Maybe a step stool in there would solve this issue. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves even with all the hiccups we experienced. I will stay here again but I'm hoping by the time I come back there will be solutions to some of the issues. Maybe new flooring like beach hugger 3 would be great and a full size fridge with a freezer would be wonderful. Also, not allowing the use of the furniture on the beach took us by huge surprise, as we always used them before. There was also no working lights in the bedroom which was very frustrating. I will say the cleaning people and maintenance were extremely nice and helpful as best they could be and we greatly appreciated that. I will still return here and I'm hoping that some of these issues will be resolved by then.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Don't get me wrong, this is a great location for a short stay at the beach. The ability to walk out onto the beautiful beach is treat and we had a good time in spite of what follows. It seems that the rental agency and the owners of this property don't care if the cabinets are falling apart making it so to open a drawer you have to hold the other cabinet door up. It seems that nobody cared that the promised email with the door access code didn't show up and when I called the lady had no suggestions as to what we were to do. In fact, if it hadn't been for a lady cleaning another unit we might still be waiting to get in (5 days later). But she saved the day by contacting people we could not reach. Then, even though we were told we didn't have to go to the rental office, another lady the cleaning staff contacted said that our key code and info would be in a lock box at the rental office. So, we drive there and open the box. You guessed it, nothing. Finally another man we were able to reach from the rental office gave us the code and we drove back to the unit and got in. Once inside it seemed that no one cared that the fully staffed kitchen had no drinking glasses and only 2 cups. As we settled in we found other evidence of not caring - missing or burned out light bulbs, lamps that had no switch to turn off or on (we had to unplug it from the wall to make it work) and on and on. So while the property had a lot of potential, it suffers from a lack of care and it truly is a shame that no one seems to car. By the way, the name below is correct but the city and state are not.

A mix of shade and sun!
We stayed in beach cottage 1. What I love about this property is the large sandy backyard with lots of chairs and beautiful views over the sea oats of the water. The Austrian pine trees provide wonderful shade when you don’t want to be in direct sun! Although the beach was relatively close to the public Sunset Beach, it was far enough away to have a sense of seclusion and privacy. If there was a nice pool on the property it would be perfect. There is a shower to rinse off right by our back door that was extremely handy. The bed and couch were very comfortable. If you were traveling with more than two people just be mindful that the living room and bedroom are not fully separated. There is an area at the top of the wall that is open between the bedroom and the living room and although it is blocked from visual view there is no auditory privacy. Not a problem if it’s just the two of you! There’s a big storage closet which is nice but on the downside the bathroom is very small and the sink is in the small shower, leaving only has just enough room for one person at a time. This cottage is very adequate for sleeping and preparing some meals and hanging out to watch TV but what makes this place enjoyable is the beautiful views from the backyard to the ocean and the direct access to the gulf. I brought my kayak and was able to launch right off the property. That was great. Here’s what I wish the property would implement to make this stay a little bit nicer at very low cost to them. 1. Provide an iron and an ironing board so we don’t have to go to dinner with terribly wrinkled clothes. 2. Provide dish soap so we don’t have to drive to the store just to get soap to clean the dishes. (My neighbor in cottage 2 had the same issues.) 3. Provide a broom and dust pan so that when we track sand into the cottage we can easily get it out. I had to sweep it out with a towel. 4. Provide a electronic lock to the back door like there is on the front door. That way we don’t have to walk all the way around the side of the building to get back into our cottage if we lock the back door and head to the beach. 5. Take better inventory of your cups and bowls and utensils and such. There is only one drinking glass and three coffee mugs. Thankfully I brought my own stainless steel drinking cup so I didn’t need it, but that would’ve been frustrating if I only had what was provided. Overall, it was very relaxing to stay here unless you need posh! I would stay again.
