About this property

Small Farm Yurt Experience

Beautiful one of a kind & hand crafted Double Yurt. This unique space is the combination of an 18-foot diameter and a 14-foot diameter yurt, nested in the woods at the edge one of the fields on a working farm in Northern Ontario. Sit on the porch or around the campfire and enjoy the perfect sunset view & full night sky experience. During the day enjoy a walk around the 100 acres of Foxfire Heritage farm, getting a firsthand look at a working small farm, or enjoy a walk in the woodland trails.

Out Yurt is the ultimate in Glamping experience, the perfect blend between camping and cottaging, completely off grid gives it a quiet an tranquil feel, limited battery power available at the Yurt for lights, and limited charging of devices. There is no refrigeration in the Yurt so you will need to bring your own cooler & ice, or request one from us, OR buy fresh local meats and produce from our roadside stand or one of the many local farms in the area.

In the cooler months the Yurt is heated with a woodstove for a beautifully natural warmth.

Because we are a working farm with may free ranging animals, (chickens, geese, turkeys, our own pets) and electric fencing for larger animals such as our hogs and cattle, we are not allowing guests to bring their pets at this time unfortunately due to the extra risk involved for our animals and for the guests pets.

My family really enjoyed our stay at Foxfire Heritage Farm. What a unique way to camp in the comfort of a 2 pod yurt. They had everything that we needed minus a shower. There was lots of firewood for our cold nights but it was only softwood...which had me up every couple hours to restoke. The beds were very comfortable and the power pack was such a convenience to keep our phones charged. We really loved being able to explore the property and visit with all the animals. What an awesome experience!
