Did the job but...

Had issues getting into the room as the code didn't work. Once inside the place was nice however needed some work. Blinds were damaged or non existent, faucet in one bathroom was not screwed down to the counter top, toilet seat was also not screwed down, shower handle wasn't screwed in, fridge was missing several shelves, the "extra" supplies area on the first floor was never restocked (even though the sign said it would be daily) and the person who's name and number was at the front lobby never responded. The front lobby door to the street didn't latch properly. Several times you could just pull it open. One door the latch was barely attached to the door. Which a big safety issue. It is a decent place and close to just about everything. The place just needs some repairs and some fresh paint.

Issues from start to finish

Difficulty with check-in/check out due to wrong door codes given and spotty internet to use kiosk. Washing machine flooded, clothes were stuck, and NO support from contact person. Run down and broken items in both units (the original and the relocated one), and not very clean throughout. Very challenging to get through to host company to get anything addressed. Low to no items in stock which are listed as amenities. I did reach out multiple times during my visits and afterwards. They said they would makes things right, but I was left with continued disappointment and frustration. Only good thing is the location to the WW2 museum.

Un happy

Not very good. When we complained a person came buy and fixed nothing. The bed was still broken. The dishwasher still leaked. The blinds were still broken and the toilet paper holder was still broken. We had trouble getting in as did the 4 people we helped. I think you should credit me

Adorable

The property is so cute. It's spacious, clean, and well-managed. It's not really walkable to the French Quarter unless you like a LONG walk, but there are lots of cute things nearby! We loved the bed/bath situation, and the kitchen provided plenty of dishware and even wine tools. If we had any issues, the management company was easy to contact. Pro-tip - there's another Roami property like 400 feet from this one, so make sure you verify the exact address before trying to get in! Speaking from experience...

Unpleasant Surpises

The property has lots of potential, but it also had lots of problems. Most significantly, the elevator was not working for our entire stay. There was no advance warning, nor did they even bother putting an “out of order” sign on the door. Climbing stairs is difficult for me, and it meant I wasn’t able to leave the apartment as much as I would like. Each day we were told it would be fixed the next day, but it wasn’t. The check-in information provided an inaccurate wireless network and password (although the correct information was provided within 30 minutes of request). The internet connection is slow (videos were hard to watch). The electrical outlets in the bathrooms didn’t work. The place was roomy, though, and the beds were comfortable. I liked the eclectic feel.

New Orleans weekend

I love the historic building. This building is in an area that looks like it's the start of revitalizing. You are close to several things but slightly on the outskirts of everything NO. We always felt safe. You are right down the street from a tent city and the area can feel a little underdeveloped. This building is beautiful with a rooftop patio and exposed brick walls. The bedrooms are small and storage details could be a little better. Toilet paper holders don't hold the paper. Both bathroom sinks are slow to drain but easy fixes. Hooks in the bathroom would be very helpful. The rental contact responds very quickly. The wifi box is laying on the floor but wasn't a problem for us. The AC is beyond awesome and the space is very cold if liked. It's a great space and has everything you need. There is extra room supplies on the first floor hallway. Parking was a little confusing. The street parking is free only on Sunday. The parking we used was at 740 Baronne. It took us a while to figure it out. We did use the public parking garage on Howard St and it was fine. It's a quiet building and we very much enjoyed our stay. The Tv is nice but never really figured out how to watch what we wanted. They have an information guide on the wall that is awesome but could share a little more detail for challenged people like ourselves! I just had surgery so the very few clean-up rules were a nice nonworry. We would definitely recommend this place and would be happy to stay again.
