Enjoy an evening around the BBQ with family and friends, or time in the outdoor undercover area with a drink relaxing around the combustion fire.

Soak in the indoor spa after a day of activities (Instant Gas Hot-Water to all outlets throughout house).

Perfect home with beautiful garden for family to relax and enjoy Yorkes. Well thought out amenities to maximise enjoyment. Entire family including our moodle had great stay.

Staying at Sammy's Retreat

This house and property is very clean, neat and tidy without being precious. It is comfortable and the layout is good. The back garden is delightful and there is space for everyone to find a comfy corner, including the dog.

Paradise beach house

We had a lovely time staying at Sammy’s retreat. The garden was a lovely surprise like a lost forest and it seemed like we were somewhere else. Our pooch Tilly loved exploring the garden. Wish we stayed longer but had to come back to reality. Will book again soon.

Beautiful holiday at Sammy’s Retreat

Me and my family spent a week at Sammy’s Retreat and it was a beautiful, relaxing, peaceful getaway. We needed a break from the world for a bit and got that in the oasis of Sammy’s Retreat. My beautiful dog Ginger loved holidaying with us too❤️

Fantastic home away from home

This property is probably the best holiday home we have stayed in. Everything you could want is there, it’s really well furnished, really clean. The garden and outdoor areas are wonderful. A really great spot to get away for a break.

Secret by the sea

Lovely hidden property near the beach for a rest. Very comfortable for the dogs and us. Quiet, clean and lovely decor. Wonderful weekend away.

Wonderful Retreat

So Clean, all amenities catered, great outdoor spaces and the wood fire in the outdoor room with the fridge and TV was well used. Dogs beds with blanket, toys and welcome biscuits were a lovely addition. Beach was extremely close and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable and clean

The photos of the gardens don't do it justice, beautifully cared for, tidy and clean. The hosts were great to communicate with and of course our fur baby enjoyed his stay, especially the short walk to the beach and then snoozing in front of the fire.

Anyone can provide clean accommodation but Sammy's Retreat has character and personality as well. The garden was magnificent, the dogs and humans loved it and everything required was there. Overall a fantastic experience. Would recommend highly to any family with dogs. Thanks Anthony and Sammy.

A little getaway with my pup.

Great little holiday house with everything you could want. Lovely back garden and outdoor room. Plenty of places to explore for my dog. Beach very close, which my dog Henry had a ball, free to splash in the water and race along the sand. Recommend bringing most of your food unless you want to pay double for everything at the local IGA.

Relaxing Family Getaway

Thank you to Sammy and Anthony for the most amazing few days spent with family after a busy 2022! The house was incredibly thought out with lots of added bonuses - the photos did not do the house and backyard justice! Walks to the main street, fishing a short drive away on the jetty and quality time spent around board games and movies. Willow and Zoey loved the clam, backyard and the dog treats! Walks to the beach and paddle boarding was a highlight including short trips to other Yorkes towns and beaches. Beds were utterly comfy! Only slight issue we found was how hot the front of the house became during midday - but the aircons did well! We would definitely recommend and will return!

We are both from south of Adelaide and spend a lot of time on the Yorke Peninsula. Relaxing and enjoying life are priorities for both of us. We chose to become holiday house hosts because we wanted to give people the holiday experience, we ourselves, including the fur babies would like to have.

Why they chose this property

We wanted to make a difference to a small town by attracting good customers into the community, which in turn generates revenue and helps the town thrive.
The lower Yorke Peninsula in general has so much to offer and we often find ourselves exploring in search of excitement and a great experience.

What makes this property unique

We 100% manage Sammy's Retreat in relation to communication with customers, the cleaning and gardening. We spend the time it takes to bring Sammy's Retreat up to our standards for every guest who spends time at our beautiful property.
