A vacationer’s dream!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Kismet property. The checkin experience was seamless and communication with the property manager was exceptional. The property itself was perfectly laid out, super clean and very tastefully decorated. The coffee pot was missing from the coffee maker when we arrived, but a new machine was promptly delivered. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend the unit to other travellers. The Harbourmaster community of villas is a quick 10 minute bike ride to the beach through beautiful Spanish moss tree lined streets, but far enough away from everything to be wonderful and quiet. Would love to stay here again on our next trip to the island! It was the perfect fit for our family of 6.

AMAZING Stay

This unit was very cozy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable and the living room had enough seating for everyone to gather for a good movie after a fun filled day. We’ll DEFINITELY stay here again!

Summer vacation

A really nice condo with updated decor, very clean and comfortable place to stay. Teens enjoyed the pool on property. Beach access was a short drive away. We were a little unsure if our condo gate access included parking for the beach or the nearby tennis courts. Make sure to ask for a condo/resort map when checking in at the gate. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for future stays.

The worst stay I’ve ever experienced

DO NOT STAY HERE. This place is in no condition to be rented out. It is hazardous, disgustingly dirty and run down. I wish I could upload pictures and videos to this review as evidence, because it is unbelievable. Two of the sliding glass doors (bottom level) were left unlocked upon our arrival-the one at the front, leading to the parking lot, had a faulty lock and would not securely close, creating a major security issue. Additionally, the thermostat was locked. Temperatures were 90+ degrees and 100% humidity. Come nighttime we were all sweating in bed – no one could get any sleep due to the heat. There was a pile of sand in the foyer and in the corner of a guest bathroom upstairs, brown substance on bath towels (these were not old stains – either way, unacceptable), clusters of dust/dirt/dead insects/hairs along baseboards and under beds, clothes left in closet from previous guests, hair on bed pillow, thick layers of dust on ceiling fans. We didn’t even want to use the fans at night, to help with the heat, because we would have been covered in dust in bed if we turned the fan on. The moment we arrived my son took his shoes off, and within minutes his socks were brown and had literal dust balls all over them. I refuse to believe this place was cleaned for us, let alone in the past few months prior to our arrival. The place was very rundown. The toilet chain in the master bath is broken, and had to remove the top of the tank and reach for the chain every time we needed to flush. The toilet also ran water 24/7, making it very noisy, and another element that made it hard to sleep. Every metal accessory in all the bathrooms were completely rusted. The frame to one of bathrooms was even rusted, which is hazardous. Many of the vertical blinds where missing or broken. There was an exhausting amount of correspondence between the management company (Evolve Management), and the property manager – it completely consumed me and stressed me out the entire time. The manger had someone clean (only) the areas we brought up, along with providing new linens, while we were out. The “new” towels that were provided had pubic hair on it and another one was entirely covered in brown stains. I also come to find, after the cleaner came, 2 items went missing from my make-up bag, as well as 2 items from my friend’s make-up bag. Nothing ever got resolved, and then we have missing items. This was hands down the worst vacation of my life.

We had a great time at the house we rented. The place was beautiful and in great condition. Trish was awesome. When the circuit breaker popped and the coffee pot broke we called her and within a couple of hours she was there fixing the breaker because it was in one of the rooms that was locked and brought us a news coffee pot and even left the door open so if the breaker popped again we can fix it ourselves. The only down side was when we got there the house was not cleaned so again we called Trish and it was cleaned within 2 hours.

Beach with grandkids!

Shipyard is a pretty property and the townhome itself was nice. Our grandkids loved the TV and the twin beds😊The location is 2 miles from beach access so we had to pack up and drive with kids and stuff! Access to the beach in Shipyard is difficult due to being only 1 access for all of Shipyard, so overcrowded and minimal parking. We had to park in “overflow” parking everyday which is about a mile away, - on there side of a street… and walk. Overall good!

Wonderful Rental - bonus is the beach pass!

Loved staying at this rental. We didn't know ahead of time, but this rental came with a beach pass that allowed us to park at the beach access within the gated community. The rental was about 2 miles from the beach access so driving there was a must (with all our beach gear and kiddos). First trip to HHI and we loved it -- will definitely be going again!

Loved the location and drivable beach access

We stayed here with some friends and our kiddos. We weren't aware that the rental came with a beach pass but that was so helpful and nice! The beach access is within the gated complex (about 2 miles from the rental) so we were able to drive down each morning and have front row access! Major plus! We would love to rent again!

Beautiful spring break getaway

This was spot on with description and a very nice place to stay. Easy bike ride to many places, including the beaches. We had a great time. Very clean, many necessities available. Property manager was speedy when we had a question and very fast to offer a solution . Definitely recommend!

Overall Very Good

Property was very clean and stocked well enough for 4 of us on a golf trip. The mattresses were all very comfortable. Location was convenient. Only a few drawbacks. Others in the group would have liked a TV in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms and the main living room TV would not connect to the cable box. The property manager did offer to stop and help but live TV wasn't that important to us and we spent very little time at home. The only other issue was the shower heads. They are very nice, large "rain type" in both bathrooms. Problem is there is really no pressure at all. They were somewhat annoying but not a big deal for 4 guys on a golf trip. However, this would have been huge for our wives trying to wash longer hair. I would suggest installing an inexpensive handheld shower head with a diverter as an option. Otherwise, a very nice, clean property in a very nice neighborhood.
