Wonderful Weekend at Whiting's Store
We had a wonderful stay at Taralga Terraces - Whiting's Store and loved the town. It was cold so we made the most of the combustion fire and the beds were cozy and warm. The kitchen was well equipped and the bathrooms had all the amenities we needed. We ventured out to Wombeyan Caves and also had dinner at The Argyle Inn which was fantastic. Crookwell is also a lovely little town. Lisa was a great host and easy to communicate with. We would love to come back to this centrally located property.

Country Idyll
We stayed as two couples in Whitings store Taralga Terraces. Our stay was very comfortable with good furnishings and a very well stocked kitchen. The bedroom were well appointed with comfortable beds and linens and beautifully finished bathrooms. Taralga is an excellent place to stay with good eating and very close to Crookwell and Lagan. We are already talking about organising our next stay there.

Family Get Together
My husband and I stayed at the Whiting’s Store, to use as a base for catching up with my family. The property was wonderful - an amazing renovation of this historic building and equipped with high quality bedding, kitchen accessories etc. And such a cute little town - the Grand Ettie Cafe had exceptional coffee and food! Our communication with Lisa was excellent and we really loved our stay. We will definitely come back.

Beautiful Taralga
Taralga is a wonderful little country village and this accommodation was fantastic. A group of us styed in 3 properties and enjoyed dinner at the pub as well as meeting many wonderful local people. The accommodation was pleasant and fairly well maintained. The only negative was the lack of fresh air as windows couldn't be opened and the doors had no fly screens. The heating/cooling system was not working.

Nice House at a Nice Town
The property appears to be mixing old and new, old to preserve some of that history, and new where it counts. Loved the glass Mosiac by the door, the old-style keys and doors, with modern kitchen and bathrooms. The owner knows the place can get cold and provided plenty of heating options. It's generally a nice property to stay at. The town itself has a lot of hidden gems, surprisingly amount of young/energetic folk. Loved having a chat with the new young owners at the local general store. The key pickup/dropoff is easy.

Cozy and Calm
Would highly recommend staying at this property. We loved our time here. The interior design is beautiful and thoughtfully set up. Lots of lovely little touches such as toiletries on beds, milk in fridge and fire already lit on arrival. The rooms were very comfortable, bright and warm. Lisa was excellent with communicating. She was clear, considerate and fast in responding. I would recommend for future guests to be mindful of very limited internet access, even with wifi. It’s worth doing any online research about the local area prior to arriving (e.g. local business opening times) and downloading movies in advance and bringing a HDMI to connect to the TV if you’re wanting to have a movie night. Also, if you’re interested in eating at the Argyle Inn, it’s best to book a few weeks in advance.

Horrendous Communication and Service
Too many issues to list all of them here. What annoyed me the most was that I reached out to Lisa around 3 times during the stay and again after our stay to rectify or even just get acknowledgment of the issues and I was ignored. Unusable toilet due to leaking pipes (these things happen and I could look past this) but upstairs rooms all had issues too. A row of boxes with cleaning products greeted us on entry to property (again could look past this with decent service). No remotes for one TV and other lacked batteries so they were not useable, one bathroom door didn’t close without major force, one bedroom door jammed and didn’t open without major effort, other toilet had a seat that was far too small for the bowl so be prepared to sit partially on cold ceramics, wifi won’t work during peak hours, down stairs TV didn’t connect to internet. Dead almost mummified baby bird on upstairs porch which had been there for a while, no visitor book on how to use appliances , fire place is great once you find the tiny fan switch (would be great to have a visitor book with things like this in it). I wasn’t going to write such a bad review but I’m appalled by the lack of service from Lisa. With decent customer service, I would look past a lot of these issues as the property overall is lovely and Lisa has done a great job with styling. But for the price I paid- I did not receive the quality or service expected at this price point.

A stylish city get away
Lisa and Rob have created the warmest and most stylish home for a city escape. It was exactly what my friends and I needed; cosy, tasteful and complete with everything we needed. Our hosts were responsive and at the ready when we needed them.

Lovely place in a great location
We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely property - the house was exactly as described and there were many thoughtful inclusions such as pantry staples, coffee, and firewood. Our host was helpful and attentive and went out of her way to assist us and make us feel welcome. We were particularly grateful that the fire had been lit ahead of our arrival and the house was lovely and warm despite the cold weather when we visited.

Hidden Adventure
We stayed at this property for a couples weekend away and were amazed at how much we enjoyed the location and house. None of us had ever been before but loved exploring the house and areas around town. We didn’t have any reception and the wifi didn’t work until the last day but other than that would definitely recommend.

Cosy Retreat
We loved our stay in Taralga! The terrace has been thoughtfully renovated and there was plenty of room for three adult couples to stay. Not only is the property beautiful and well located, it’s easy and quick to heat using the main fireplace and heaters in each room. The perfect getaway with friends or with your family - we’ll definitely be back!

The property was so nicely decorated with thoughtful touches everywhere. The building brings the old world charm and yet embraces the modern convenience. The town itself is beautiful in autumn well. The best stay and the best host ever!

Overnight escape
Fascinating, stunning property, immaculately and freshly renovated - a gorgeous mix of classic meets contemporary, luxe but comfortable and inviting. Every member of our family, even the teenage boys, appreciated the attention to detail and the gorgeous surrounds.
