AMAZING PROPERTY
We were blown away upon arrival at this property the moment we pulled up to it! It’s not far off the blue ridge parkway, and what a treat it was to stay here. We spent the first 45 minutes just walking around the property taking it all in before we even went inside. The kayaks were especially nice to be able to use as well. All the different sitting areas were so perfect. Thank you so much for sharing this BEAUTIFUL property with us to be able to enjoy!

Peaceful and serene with a beautiful wild flower field!
We loved this farmhouse! Adorable and so cozy. All of the beds were extremely comfortable and we had all we needed for meals at home. One of the TVs wouldn’t work when we first arrived so I left a voice message for the manager. Heard back via a text within a few minutes and someone was out the next morning to correct the issue. We will be back soon!

If you want a hot tub, DO NOT BOOK THIS
We were only searching for properties with hot tubs, when we came across this place. We were so excited to get there and when we saw the location, we were in love! However, that night we quickly learned our hot tub didn’t work. You can imagine how disappointed we were. We contacted the management company and they were decently quick to respond and send someone out. They said it was a hot tub repair person but it was just the management coming out to flip switches. Eventually they got an actual person out to check it by Day 3 of our 5 day stay. They told us the mother board was fried and wouldn’t be replaced until after our stay and offered us less than 20% refund. I had explained multiple times through the process that the hot tub was the reason for our trip and that we only booked it because of that. When I asked for a better compensation they refused. Even if the mother board was fixed, the control panel buttons are all worn off. If you want a place with a hot tub, DO NOT BOOK THIS! Other than that, the property was beautiful, mostly well maintained (watch your step for poison ivy), and very private. Private except for the random car that parked on the street every day we were there for hours and then would drive off. We didn’t know if it was a neighbor or what. We decided to alert the management company and their response was “it’s probably just someone lost without signal looking up directions”. Watch your step on the porch, the boards are very weak!

Quiet and peaceful location. 10 min driving time to awesome small town of Weaverville to grab good food and shop. Many hiking trail options within 10 mile area. 25 minutes from Ashville along the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. And close to awesome ziplining opportunity.

Beautiful, quiet property close enough to Asheville's activities! 2 houses on property were perfect for my family in one and parents in another. My kids loved kayaking, basketball, fishing, and the hot tub! Have already recommended this to several friends!

Great Fall Cabin Stay
We come to the Asheville area every Fall to enjoy the season. This cabin was great for enjoying the outdoors. The creek, pond, and hot tub were all well enjoyed. My only suggestion would be to add baking dishes and a cookie sheet to the kitchen. There wasn’t anything to cook in the oven with. Everything else was well stocked. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, detergent, etc. Thank you for the great week!

Wonderful property!
Excellent location, beautiful lot with fields, trees and a nice pond. Secluded enough off the main road, quiet neighborhood. Comfortable, well appointed home with all the amenities you need: grill, hot tub, porch, fire pit and well stocked kitchen. Located relatively close to grocery store and the town of weaverville. Hiking trails close by… and Asheville was a short drive away.

Our best vacay ever!
We had soooo much fun at Oxbow Farm! The property is absolutely beautiful! And peaceful! The pond was well stocked and we caught lotsa fish. The kids also enjoyed exploring the creek too. The cabin was perfect for Nana and Papa, and the main house was perfect for our daughter and grandkids. If I were to make one suggestion, it would that ceiling fans in the living room and second bedroom in the main house would be nice…it was really hot while we were here in June. Thank you so much for a most wonderful vacay!

Great property ruined by not taking care of your guests
Overall the outdoor property is great but the main house that you stay has been neglected. The AC system is 20 years old (I looked) and failed during our stay. The shower drain was clogged and had to call maintenance that took time to get there to fix it, then it started happening again. Some lights were out as well. The property manager took about a day or so to get back on things and for the AC they were "we can't fix it, the owner has to deal with this". So we were left with a non working house and the added stress of trying to get someone to fix it. It ruined the experience for our family. There are also security cams pointed at the hot tub, so be careful with your women in bathing suites. I hope the property owner contacts us and gives us credit for all these issues.

Lovely setting
Great time the property was absolutely beautiful. We did want to let you know that the shower in the main house does not drain very well and the low flow toilet in the guest house is not adequate . Other than that we loved our time at the farm

Great property
20 minutes from Asheville. Beautiful property in the mountains. We used the hot tub every day. Unfortunately, it was VERY windy while we were there so outdoor activities were limited by wind chill. Our ten year old loved the basketball hoop. Very close to great hikes in the Blue Ridge mountains. These two houses were perfect for the 6 of us.

Great place!
Property was great. Here’s the +/-: Pros: +Awesome location just north of Asheville. Quaint little town to the west, and the Blue Ridge Parkway to the east. Both within 10-15 minutes. +Amenities (fire pit, kayaks, hot tub, porch seating overlooking lake, outside dining by lake) +Large property gives lots of privacy and places to explore. +Had one service call to property manager. They were fast friendly and courteous. Cons: -Hot tub wasn’t ready and needed service when we arrived. However it was quickly repaired and we enjoyed it the last night. -Yard maintenance performed while we were onsite wasn’t ideal. However the property looked even better afterwards. I would recommend this for couples and families. Only other consideration is the main house only has one restroom. Wasn’t a problem for us but could be for larger groups.

Beautiful property and location for a relaxing vacation
The house and property are extremely comfortable and provided a relaxing, natural setting for our multi generational vacation. I agree with a previous guest review the frying pans need to be replaced and mixing/storage bowls should be provided. A new baking sheet is also needed. The hot tub had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, but the technician arrived promptly after our check in.

Amazing property, very nice house, needs some attention to furnishing
Really really gorgeous property, house and guest house were very clean. Maintenance issues were addressed immediately. Hot tub and pond and grounds are fantastic. Property management company should come stay at the house for a few days with a small group- we had six people, which is under the 8 maximum, and there was only one dish towel provided. There aren’t any large serving dishes or large pots and pans to cook for a group (and the house feels kind of remote so you are mostly cooking at least breakfast and dinner) and there’s only eight dishes- so every meal you are washing every dish. With some minor furnishing additions, this is a perfect family getaway.

Cozy accommodations in idyllic setting
My family (three adults, one 5-year-old) spent spring break at this charming property and loved every minute. The farmhouse is cozy and well-appointed — the kitchen has every gadget you could possibly need! The guest cottage is restful and perfect for groups who are traveling together but still want the ability to keep a little social distance in these weird pandemic times. My husband and I both had to work a little while we were there, and we were happy to find that the WiFi served us well, even in what felt like a remote location. Speaking of the location ... it's breathtaking. My son loved watching the pair of resident geese in the pond and throwing rocks into the nearby stream, and we all enjoyed the mountain views while unwinding in the hot tub. The grounds are well-maintained with flowers everywhere. And the drive to downtown Asheville was quick and easy, less than 20 minutes. Cannot recommend this peaceful, comfortable property more highly. We'll be back for sure.
