Another wonderful trip

Second year in a row we had an amazing trip at the Christmas house. Wonderful views, fantastic rooms, and perfectly located for a reunion held in Otto. Lin answered any questions that we had promptly and was a pleasure to deal with!

Dream House

Our stay was so lovely, I wish we didn’t have to leave. The house is so beautiful and my favorite part was the covered patio. We sat outside at the fire table and watched the sun set. The proximity to downtown Franklin was great. We cooked most meals and the kitchen had everything we needed. Also, the property manager Lin was very communicative and friendly. When I had a question, he responded immediately. I would absolutely come back!!

Holiday Heaven

Loved our visit. Holiday House well appointed. No need to bring anything but your clothes and food. We’ll stocked. Lin , property manager quick to respond if needed. Love everything about this house and our visit. Will be back

Incredible Home

Our stay at the Christmas House was absolutely wonderful. Secluded, amazing views, open floor plan, and a back porch with everything you need. Most of our time at the house was spent on the back porch. Great communication with property manager.

Absolute gem with a spectacular view and great wildlife visitors. The Holiday Home is very tastefully decorated. The pictures are great but much better in person. Lin was a wonderful host and made sure everything was perfect... We will make this are go to spot....

House was fabulous, spacious and very easy to get to. It was supplied with everything you needed. Jet tub was very relaxing and the home decorations were fun. The mountain views were great from every window and the back patio view was superb. The front patio was enjoyable to have some down time with a glass of wine and read a book. Very private with all the plush landscaping. The location of the home in Deer Ridge was fantastic for getting out to visit all the sites, falls and wineries, do some hiking and horseback riding at Dillard Stables. This is a 5-Star home that we will come back to soon.

Christmas in June

We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain cabin for a long weekend. Lin, the property manager, was on top of everything and answered any small questions we had quickly and accurately. We were a little shocked to see the Christmas decorations up, but really grew to enjoy our Christmas in June! Every morning we woke up to a wonderful Christmas decor and instead of just saying good morning to our friends it was always, "Merry Christmas"! Great place and we have already booked again.

Great Getaway!

Great week with friends touring around the mountains. House and views are incredible. House was clean, well-appointed and included EVERYTHING! Property manager was very friendly and welcoming and attentive. Would definitely consider staying here again.

What a great get away...

The Hoilday House is exactly as seen in the pictures with a magnificent view on the mountains in private and gated neighborhood. Plenty of amenities in this very cozy home. Well will be back!

Nice Christmas Getaway

Beautiful mountain home with a modern touch. Was thoroughly impressed with everything about the property, fully equipped kitchen with everything you need, smart tvs, and all the modern luxuries that make life easy and comfortable. Great location, quiet neighborhood, and we were less than 15 minutes from 2 chik-fil-a’s (awesome) as well as grocery stores, and all of the things you come to the mountains for. Lin was great, one phone call away if needed. I recommend the property to everyone wanting an exceptional house to spend some time relaxing in a beautiful house with great views!

Feels like home!

From the moment you enter this home - you can feel the warmth - comfort and coziness. The owners truly put a lot of thought into the decor. We were there mid November so we definitely enjoyed the Christmas decorations and the wood burning fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped. The beds were very comfy. The location is great - right between Franklin and Dillard. We will definitely rent this home again!

Deer Ridge House

The house was definitely a “Christmas House”. If you enjoy the Christmas Spirit - this will be great for you. Please know the house has ample room for a good size family. There are only two televisions in the house - Master Bedroom and Main Living room. There are no local channels but if you are familiar with streaming you will be fine. The property manager was extremely serviceable and responsive. The property is convenient to nearby restaurants and stores. And if you enjoy nature, you can see deer in the AM and PM hours.

Excellent fall vacation!

Beautiful home and setting for our family vacation. Nice neighborhood convenient to both Franklin, Clayton and Highlands. Home was in a nice neighborhood and had beautiful views of fall foliage in front and back of house. Christmas theme was a big hit, even in October. We enjoyed the large open living area as well as the expansive deck. The house was well appointed, and the property manager was extremely helpful and pleasant.

Perfect Christmas in July get away

This beautiful home was such a wonderful mountain retreat and decorated top to bottom for Christmas which thrilled our 22 year Christmas loving daughter. The home is fully stocked with every imaginable appliance, wonderful beds, and an amazing back deck with a gorgeous mouuntain view. The location is remote enough to feel like you've unplugged but still a quick drive to see the local atrractions. We spent the week visiting many of the beautiful waterfalls in the area. One of the most memorable vacations ever!

Beautiful setting but the property needs a lot of tender loving care

The house has great views. Although there are neighbors close by, it was very quiet. The cleanliness of the property was lacking for me. As soon as we arrived, I vacuumed the downstairs as there was clearly stuff on the floor. The property manager assured me it was cleaned two days before and mopped that afternoon, but for just being clean, there was dirt on the floor including pet food from a previous guest (kibble by the kitchen sink floor mat). I do not know how old the property was, but it needs a deep cleaning and interior paint for sure. It was a very dark house; my parents had a hard time seeing in the bathrooms. Lots of lights, chandeliers for beauty but not necessarily practical. The views from the deck were fantastic, but I just never felt clean when I was there. The host offered to have someone re-run a vacuum and mop, but we had already vacuumed and if someone were to come, we would have to be there (dog at the house) which would have disrupted our plans. I just wish the property was better taken care of. Even outside, the shrubbery was overgrown and not well maintained. Disappointed for the price we paid and the VRBO description says "NEW" - it must be NEW to VRBO, because it is not a new or recently renovated property.

Excellent home base for a mountain retreat!

We loved our time at the "Christmas House" as my 7-year-old nephew described it. It was the perfect setting for a family. The views were unbeatable - and the sunsets were incredible. We enjoyed eating dinner and playing games on the deck, watching the sun go down. Would highly recommend this home for a mountain getaway. Surrounded by nature, but still an easy drive into town. Lin was also an excellent host - very quick to respond to communications and helpful. Would definitely return to the "Christmas House."

Excellent property and host

This was an amazing property and I can't say enough about the host. We ended up wanting an extra night and within a few minutes the host was very accommodating and made it happen. The house was amazing! I was alittle concerned about the Christmas theme in June, but it was a perfect setting and made it feel like home. Peaceful and quiet. Will definitely make this place a reoccurring trip! Thank you so much for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful stay and Lin was an AMAZING host :)

Our family had a wonderful weekend stay! The house is even more beautiful than the photos, if you can believe it. We absolutely loved the Christmas decorations! The kids were really excited about it. The house is in a very nice and quiet gated neighborhood. We had ample space for our group of 7 and I liked that that 3 of the bedrooms were on the main floor. We had a couple of people in our group with mobility challenges and let me tell you that it is near IMPOSSIBLE to find a 4+ bedroom house in the mountains that has at least 1 bedroom on the main level, let alone 3 bedrooms! Lin was a very gracious host who responded promptly to all our questions and was even able to work with us to allow early check in as we had tickets to the Polar Express train ride in Bryson City the first night of our stay. Downtown Franklin was also cute and even had some holiday-themed events during the weekend we were there. Overall, it was a really great experience, and I would definitely stay here again if we are ever back in the area :)

Family fun in the snow.

Property was very nice and very large with plenty of room for all to spread out. Beds were very comfortable and home was well stocked. It snowed while we were there and the view was breathtaking. Unfortunately the hill was a solid sheet of ice and snow and was impossible to go down resulting in us having to extend our stay by a day. With the missed work and the charge for the extra day, the trip was a good bit more than expensive than we planned for but overall it was a wonderful experience.
