Beautiful cabin
The cabin was BEAUTIFUL!! Everything was very clean upon arrival. Plenty of kitchenware items to cook with and use. All the rooms (living area, bedrooms, bathrooms) were very spacious. The outdoor space was very nice and had lots of room and many different options of activities. We arrived with 2 vehicles and 2 boats and had plenty of room in the circle driveway to park them. The only issue we had is that we turned up the temperature on the hot tub to 96 degrees (per the cabin instructions) the day after our arrival in order for it to be ready that evening. When we opened it up to get in it was scalding hot. We used a handheld laser temperature gauge to check it and it read 115 degrees. It took a few hours with the lid open before it was cooled down enough for us to be able to get in. Everything else was excellent and we loved our stay!

Our stay was great for a short weekend. House was very clean and well stocked. We ran into a few little issues. The hottub isn’t heating properly without shutting it off won’t th breaker and turning it back on and there was no propane tank for the outside grill which we didn’t notice until time to cook. Overall it was a great cabin in a great appt.

Happy Hours Property is a great property
As two couples who travel together annually, we always search for a location/property that is accommodating of our goals of cleanliness, comfort, luxury, and location. Happy Hours met each of the criteria. The owners were responsive and we enjoyed the off-season greatly. Fishing in the area was plentiful and the town’s amenities were great.

We loved our stay! The hot tub didn’t work but since we weren’t there a lot it was fine. The road leading up to the house is pretty torn up so if you have anyone that’s motion sick/car sick maybe give them some meds first! Other than that it was a wonderful stay!

Great house!
No complaints what so ever on the home. Had a great time, appreciate the games that are there. Hot tub was so relaxing. However I was shocked at how bad the roads are. Even with the warning in the description. I cringed everytime I had to drive my car down them. Definitely bring a truck if you come to this entire area! ( not he homeowners fault )

Cockroaches close to the stove
Stayed here 10/14/22-10/17/22. Disappointed that the home had cockroaches. My husband killed a cockroach behind the Keurig in the kitchen. We were hoping that was it. The next morning I saw one run across my cell phone to the right of the stove as it was charging. Then ran underneath my breakfast plate as we were cooking breakfast. The home was beautiful. Just happens to have roaches. If you are staying here, pls take extra precaution with making sure your food is sealed and wash all dishes before using. I reached out yesterday to Evolve the host. The only reply back was a copy of the receipt for them treating the home for bugs 4 days before we arrived on 10/10/22. The roaches were still very active 4 days after treatment. Took a lot of extra time on our part to shake out every piece of clothing before packing and trying to not take roaches back to our own home. Never would of stayed in this home if we had known of the roach problem. Beautiful home, just has a roach problem.

Just as advertised but better!! This property was beautifully decorated and so homey. The home is impeccably clean. On property games, cards, corn hole and horse shoes- we played them all. There were 4 of us - we took long walks and visited Big Bend Lake. The owners, Brad and Kim demonstrate pride in this pride and extremely responsive to any inquiries. We are already planning our next trip !

Great cabin…Hochatown, not so great
The cabin was clean, great location, and the hot tub/fire pit were a hit with the kiddos. Hochatown has little to offer. The weather wasn’t conducive for boating, hiking or fishing. Restaurants were subpar and had odd hours. Little to do when you can’t do outdoor things. Be sure to stop and get food and snacks before you arrive at the cabin. The only grocery stores are on your way to the cabin.
