Great Family Vacation

First time renting through evolve and was a little leery but the entire process was smooth. I love that we can pay interest free over 6 months. No additional fees as with other rental sites. The house was perfect! We had 3 families including 2 kids under 3. The house had everything and was very clean! Crib, high chair, toys for the kids including beach toys. Tons of games and puzzles. The linen service was great because it was less we had to pack. The central air worked amazing especially during a heat wave. Plenty of room for everyone. The furniture and beds were comfortable. Large dining table. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The grill worked great. Really enjoyed the lake for fishing and feeding the local geese and ducks. Large grass area to play baggo. Plenty of parking. I don’t have any complaints but a few suggestions. The blender was broken and we couldn’t make our frozen mudslides (tragic right?). Maybe upgrade some of the beds to kings (although they were comfortable, when I go on vacation I prefer a king and there’s plenty of room for kings in at least 2 of the rooms). Maybe add a portable ac to the garage/game room because with the excessive heat, it felt like a sauna in there. The downstairs toilet needs to be replaced because it constantly runs and the tank does not fill. Taller toilets would be nice. One more thing, I would move the chair away from the upstairs railing because our 2 year old thought it was cool to climb on it and overlook the living room and it’s a major safety hazard! But again, these are all just suggestions, not complaints because we had a great family vacation and enjoyed our stay! We would definitely stay again!!

Great location...beautiful views even in winter

We booked this house specifically to go to Big Boulder Mountain for skiing and snowboarding with the kids. The location was great, 12 minutes to the mountain. The lake views and wall of windows are better than the pictures. The place was relatively clean but we did find some areas that weren't vacuumed (kids cereal). The garbage disposal was broken and one of the smoke detectors kept beeping at night. The property manager was easy to contact and came out immediately.

Good property for weekend getout but...

The property is a good location for weeekend getout. The location was great right on the lake. The concern and hassle we faced was that the property had very limited toiletteries and the bed/pillow sheets were dirty or may be not washed before we checked in.

Beautiful property, but needs a few fixes

The Pros: The view and lake seating area is absolutely stunning. The house is great as well. Very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Our kids loved the game room. The owner was very responsive and answered questions throughout the stay. They left a welcome gift for us at arrival! The Cons: The fireplace (which is a focal point for ambiance and very important to us) did not work. Unfortunately nothing could be done to fix it. The living room furniture needs to be replaced. One chair didn’t recline and the other leather couches were very beat up and uncomfortable. It felt like you were sitting on the wood framing. We didn’t receive the welcome packet with the bracelets and garbage passes until the night before we left. The HOA bracelets were supposed to be there at arrival. The garbage takeout is a 10 minute drive away! It’s very inconvenient for guests to load up their cars with trash to drive 10 minutes away for garbage removal. The cleaning crew should really be taking care of this based on the amount being paid for cleaning fees and the luxury experience.

Beautiful Home

I can't believe how clean the property was! We absolutely loved playing in the yard and exploring the lake. We had kids ranging from 4-17 and they all enjoyed the house. We'll definitely consider going back!

Girlfriend Getaway

Seven of us lifelong friends had the most fabulous weekend at this lake home! The place was just beautiful, the waterfront beach and dock were where we sat the entire weekend! The home was clean, with everything that we needed. The beds were comfortable and the home was so spacious. The outdoor space was beautifully landscaped and so peaceful. I would highly recommend this home!

Fantastic Property!

This house is even more beautiful in person. We enjoyed a wonderful weekend here with plenty to do even with not such great weather. The house was clean and fully stocked. Plenty of room for a family gathering of 11. The views of the lake are spectacular and the outside seating is perfect for viewing. We already booked our next stay!!!

A Review in Two Parts

This review is in two parts - the home and the lake. The home was great, it is well appointed and comfortable, everything we needed was there, we have no issues at all so if you are going just for the house and not the water sports it's wonderful. However, we have been renting at this lake for 10 years at different homes that unfortunately their owners no longer rent and we have always been able to use all of their watercraft on the lake - kayaks, canoe, row boat. pedal boat etc. all came with the rental. This was the best part of the vacation for our family. We were informed this year that the lake no longer allows renters on the lake, only owners are allowed. There is even a sign on the property affirming that fact. Why would you rent a house for a lot of money, a total of $800 a night, on the lake if you can't use the lake? Our kids and grands were very very disappointed and we will not be going back to Towamensing.

Beautiful Lake House!

The house was clean and spacious. The location on the lake and the view from the house were amazing! It was so nice to have the private beach to be able to relax while having privacy! We would definitely come back and highly recommend staying at this house.

Perfect stay!

House was beautiful, well stocked and very clean. View of the lake was unbeatable and we were at Big Boulder in less than 15 minutes. Megan was extremely responsive and helpful and we could not have asked for a better set up for our 6 adults and 4 kids! Look forward to a summer visit!

Beautiful home, breathtaking views in great location!

My family of 4 had a fantastic stay in this beautiful home. The house is perfect, exactly what you want in a home for a family vacation. It is in pristine condition, with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beautiful lake view, perfect for the lounging we did. Try the electric reclining chairs with the view....heaven! In particular, we loved watching the sunset on the lake. The lake was so pretty covered with snow, but we will also plan to come back for the summer lake activities. The house was immaculate, which matters a lot to me, with plenty of space, bedrooms for all, well equipped kitchen, etc. There was plenty of space to go and hang out. TV was soooo good, we've researched the model to buy for ourselves. And, the game room was so much fun for our family to enjoy. Skiing was nearby and my family felt safe given the covid protocols on the mountain. They enjoyed skiing nearby Jack Frost, but really loved Blue Mountain, a little further out. This made for a great family getaway, I highly recommend. We will be back!!

Stunning views from a gorgeous house!

We just spent the weekend and could not be happier with our stay! The house is spacious, spotless and stocked with everything you might need. We had 4 adults and 3 children and had room to spare. Used the weekend for hiking at Hawk Falls and skiing at Jake Frost. Both are close by. The sunsets from the private beach overlooking the lake are spectacular! We will be back!
