disappointing, not worth the price
Superficially, the house is beautiful. However, because of the pool, the window in the second bedroom downstairs (which has a double bed not the advertised queen bed) is locked shut, as are the toilet and laundry windows and the honeowner will not let you open them, and the bathroom window does not open. And there is no a/c on that floor. So it's extremely stuffy. In the living room/kitchen the two large patio doors do not have screens so as it gets dark and the bugs start to come in, attracted to the lights inside, you have to close the glass patio doors to keep the bugs out (remember, Buruli virus is carried by mosquitoes in that area). On a hot night the whole main floor is stifling hot, and there is no breeze. We were there for a week including two 38 degree days and nights and it was miserable.

Fabulous stay
An amazing house in an unparalleled spot, extremely well provisioned, quality furniture, furnishings and equipment. Feels very much like a warm, friendly family home. And dog friendly to boot. Communication was also exceptional, with a call before arrival to explain a couple of things. Could not recommend more highly. A superb spot.

Lovely!
We had a lovely relaxing time in Somers, perfect quiet spot. Beautiful views of the ocean and walks along the beach. The pool was great to cool off at the end of the day. Loved the artwork throughout the house! Thanks again :)

Absolute Beachfront is Absolutely Perfect
We Aussies have travelled the world looking for that perfect piece of paradise. Why, when it is all here in Somers just a little over an hour away from Melbourne? This house is the best holiday house we have ever stayed in! The pictures look beautiful but in reality this house is even so much more. The view from the decks, lounge and 2 of the bedrooms and bathroom is mesmerising. The beach is right at the bottom of the hill from the house. The house is appointed with everything you could need for a wonderful stay. The pool is a perfect place to cool off after returning from the beach and it is actually bigger than we thought. Somers too is an excellent location to holiday. It offers peace and relaxation but is very close to outstanding restaurants and wineries. We hope to be able to replicate this perfect Summer holiday again next year.

Paradise
We spent a week staring at the ever changing ocean, walking on the beach that was outside our door and cosying up to the fire at night. Sheer heaven.
