Fantastic hotel, couple of notes…

The White Sands hotel is fantastic and clean and very cute. This listing leaves out a couple key things; there is no elevator, there is a resort fee, there is limited parking on site, and you have to park down the street and pay for parking. The complaints are with Vrbo’s accuracy not with the hotel.

The Manager of the resort made everything OK. Vaycay connect could not upgrade my room to handicapp.

Property does not have elevator, and should be very clear about that.

Nice downtown getaway

The location is great— walkable to everything you’d want to see in Waikiki. On the other hand that comes with a lot of noise, so the rooms with Lanais facing the street can get quite noisy with loud trucks and construction. Parking is also hard if you don’t pay for the $35/day hotel parking. Can add up if you stay many night since most street parking is $3/hr. The property itself is hip, clean & fun. Would definitely stay again, but would prefer a room with a lanai facing the pool. The only other downside is the VRBO listing was very vague. Had to call and email the property manager to find out the name/address of the hotel and check in/check out time. They answered quickly, but would have been convenient to have those details in the description of the listing once booked. Overall nice stay!
