Walk past an arched arbor and climb stairs to a second-floor deck to enter this unique 3-bedroom home in an established, woodsy neighborhood in North Lincoln City. With an open layout and casual vibe, Charlie’s Place has lots of light, updated surfaces and comfortable gathering spaces that will invite your guests to relax. The living room has a sectional and chaise for cozying up in front of the gas fire and large TV/DVD, plus a tall dining set for four that’s perfect for a snack, drink or card game. The dining table is separated from the updated kitchen, with granite counters and all you’ll need to eat in. This was a very good place to stay. The only concern we had was the lack of detail information when booking regarding pets. We have 2 dogs, after arriving it was noted in the rule book that dogs have to stay in the downstairs. This was not a good thing,considering everyone was upstairs in the living space. To lock them downstairs caused trauma and stress. Lots of barking and scratching at the door to the upstairs. We are also asked in the rules to keep your dogs from barking, impossible with this situation. We relented, broke the rules and let them come up. We cleaned thoroughly before leaving. Other than that is was a perfect place to stay. I would suggest you list that when stating dogs allowed. It would help to decide whether or not to rent the place.

Wonderful time

The location was ok, the home was very large, nice and clean. The pingpong table which was advertised was not fit for use, but the children enjoyed the hot tub. We were very comfortable and thrilled we could bring our dogs. Thank you to Charlie and kind staff of Meredith.

Review is based on Meredith Lodgings poor business tactics.

The bad: A few of us wanted to take a trip to Lincoln city and rent a home that had a hot tub, and I had read some reviews on how the hot tub was not operational but they were a few months old. So I reached out to Meredith lodging and asked if the hot tub worked, they replied saying yes it worked. We booked our dates the next day. The next day I received an email saying the hot tub did not work, so I immediately requested a full refund due to their dishonesty about the hot tub. I hadn’t received a reply so I called, the person I talked to was rude and no help, and said they refused to give a refund due to VRBO(because it was less than a week from our dates). So I let them know I would contact Vrbo and she told me that would not be necessary and the hot tub would be fixed by our check in date.. to no surprise we arrive and the hot tub is untouched, the lid is covered in needles from the trees. I reached out to Meredith lodging because they told me they would refund the hot tub fee if it wasn’t fixed by our stay. They emailed back saying there was never a hot tub fee, but they would give us a small credit for a future stay. We still have never seen the credit. We felt that Meredith lodging was dishonest over and over again. We would have booked a different home that had an operational hot tub had we known from the beginning. The good: Charlies place itself was awesome all around! It was roomy, and cozy. The perfect place for family or friends to stay.

Mostly great

The house it wonderful, very well set up and clean, great set up tonstay in and a quick walk to the casino. However a major point in us booking it was the hot tub, which we quickly found to not be in working order. This was the main deciding factor in booking this house as opposed to others so finding that it was not usable with no warning was quite disappointing. I would also warn to make sure and read all of the check in materials they have at the house as the neighbor has no problem calling the management at any point if you have a vehicle so much as touch the road while parked and will make sure you are recieving constant calls even as you are walking back to the property. That being said lovely place to stay, just wish they had disclosed the hot tub situation.

Nice and quiet

Great place for a family getaway. Hot tub wasn’t operational, but didn’t take away from the charm and character of the home. I would only say that parking for 3 vehicles isn’t enough for the accommodations. Maybe take out some shrubs and as another parking spot.

Overall the property was lovely, very spacious and comfortable. The only down side was that the hot tub was off and impossible to turn on. Otherwise, we were very pleased!

We were all happy with this home. It was close to everything we had planned and truly felt like going home after our activities. Everything we needed was there and I loved that they even provided details right down to shampoo if we forgot ours. We will definitely rent from them again.

Thanksgiving weekend

We enjoyed the property. It could use some help in the upstairs bathroom off the master bedroom. The bath rug was stained and unappealing. The finish is peeling off the faucet. The heat register is completely rusted. The drain cover in the shower is loose. The rest of the property was fine.

Fun coast stay

This house was great for our whole family. The hot tub was clean, the house had all of the amenities we needed. The pictures do make the downstairs area look much more open than they are. The rooms are all separated by a long hallway. The listing says that the home is pet friendly but the binder at the property said that dogs are only allowed on the bottom floor. Most of the living spaces are on the top floor so it made it difficult to spend time with our pet. Other than that we had a great time and keeping those items in mind would recommend to others looking for a big group coast vacation.

Thanksgiving 2021

The location is great. Walking distance to the market, coffee, the beach and more. The house was clean. It wasn’t ready at the original check in time but the property management did give us a few hours notice, so it was no problem. This house has a few quirks. Don’t run the dishwasher and microwave at the same time, the circuit breaker will trip Also, there are not 4 parking spots. There are only 3. Which was fine as we only had 3 cars, thankfully one of them was small enough to fit in the garage. The house was cozy, and the hot tub was great, the water was hot, not lukewarm, which was a perfect way to end the day. We enjoyed our trip!

Birthday Weekend!

We had a great time gathering with family from near and far at Charlie’s Place. This house has great space for single, couples, and families. Having three bathrooms was great too! The very large bedroom on the lower level was great for a family of four to have their own space when needed and had room for my nephew to have an air mattress bed near his mom and dad. The space is large enough to add a set of bunk beds which would have made this place perfect! The listing said there were 4 parking spots (2 in garage and 2 in driveway) but the garage is definitely only large enough for 1 car. Lastly, having a few more chairs for dining seating would have been nice. Maybe have a set of folding chairs available? The kitchen was one of the better equipped kitchens I have experienced at a rental. Many pots and pans was helpful when cooking for a large group. I highly recommend Charlie’s Place and we will definitely be back!

Great, mostly quiet street/neighborhood & short walk to the beach!

Nice slightly older home, but Very Nicely Kept Up... the garage is only big enough for 1 car, but room outside for more. Kitchen was well stocked (Thank You), & the floor plan is nice & open! The deck is large enough to have 6-10 people, & the 4 person Hot Tub was Marvelous !!

Peaceful place
