We provide all the rest in this fully furnished vacation get-a-way home. You will see, this is not just a fast turnover rental property, but our off-season home as well. You will feel it the moment you enter.

It is clean, well maintained and cared for. Our home has all the amenities you will need to enjoy your stay. We have a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor gas and Weber barbecue grill. Fresh bed linens and plenty of clean towels are provided. A washer and dryer are available for your convenience. Included is internet access, cable TV, DVD, Movie Library( 75+),stereo/Bluetooth, toys, games., and books. There is a lawn for the kids to play on with a back yard picnic table, umbrella table, and patio furniture in front. Large driveway. Pack and Play available. Beach supplies (beach chairs, umbrella, cooler, towels, blanket, sand toys)

Perfect Family Getaway Retreat

This house was the perfect setting for a much-needed family getaway! The kids loved the bunk beds, and having a family room complete with toys & movies away from the master bedroom meant they were able to get up early & play without waking their tired parents. The short distance from downtown/beach made for nice walks that even our 5 & 9 year olds enjoyed without whining. Our hosts were responsive and thoughtful. Very much recommend.

Great communication a d location!

If you are looking for a cozy lived in cottage that screams family time, than this is the spot for you! Plenty of board games and things to keep you busy. Walking distance to Beer Church and Oinks if you have little kids. Fantastic location a d communication from owners. Will definitely be rebooking with them again.

Everything you need for a New Buffalo vacation

This cottage was perfect for our little family. My husband and I along with our 7 week old had everything we needed for a little New Buffalo getaway. We walked to the beach and nearby restaurants, played games from the game cupboard, and drove to nearby wineries. My husband was able to easily take work video meetings from the play room, thanks to the door that closes and the fast wifi. Check-in was easy, communication was clear, and everything about our stay in this cottage was perfect. We hope to return.

Great little getaway

Property was as advertised. It is an older home, and homey not hotel like, but that was nice. We would stay again. Communication with owner was very easy. No problems during our stay. The master bed is very, very firm, so just a head's up if that is an issue.

Beach visit

Great location!

Quiet neighborhood within walking distance to main strip, restaurants/grocery and beach. Older cottage. While it could use some updating, it has everything you need in the kitchen, internet/cable, washer/dryer on site, as well as beach chairs/wagon available for use. Fire pit for toasting marshmallows out back in a spacious yard. Excellent communication with owners who are very accommodating. :)

Nice stay close to town.

The house is perfect for a short stay. Clean, feels like home. Beds are very very firm. Can walk to downtown, but it is about a 10 min walk. Across from a car wash, didn't bother us, but if a quiet neighborhood spot is a high priority for you, it is something to note. Note restaurants get extremely busy at night on the weekends. One thing to note about the Stray Dog restaurant. They do not do call ahead or reservations. You can go down and give them your name and then they will text you. You may need to do this two or more hours ahead of your planned eating time.

Great location

Great location. Located very short walk or drive from “Main Street” shopping and restaurants. Short drive to outlet mall in Michigan city, IN. Hosts were extremely flexible with our Kate check in. He was willing to allow us to stay later since we got in so late Friday night.

nice place to stay

nice neighborhood--close to town and easy to get to michigan city outlet mall-little bit of a musty smell coming in the door but the rest of the house was great-the downtown did not have as many stores as we thought-we did get to check in 3 hours early which was very nice!!

Spring Getaway

We had a great 2 night stay, only about 1.5 hours from Chicago. Cottage has everything for a comfortable stay, just minutes from the beach. The owners were very friendly and accomdating. They responded to questions very quickly. I would highly recomment this listing.

Nice for short stay

The host was awesome. The lower score is because there were items left in the Refrigerator/Freezer and cupboards in the kitchen and bathroom and it didn't see "clean." The toys were shoved in cabinets that should have been cleaned as well. I enjoyed the living room sofa, perfect for the family to watch movies.

The perfect escape!

Such an easy and great experience. The property is clean and the inside is quaint and cozy but yet roomy! The DVD and VHS options are nostalgic, which made the trip even better. Downtown and the lake are easy to walk to with lots of shops on the way! As two mom’s needing a break, it was just the place to escape and take some time for us!! Highly recommend!!

Feels like home with it's comfy, coziness.

The hosts made it easy to access entry and exit without their presence. Very nice! The living area was comfortable for hanging out. The kitchen/dining area is nice and bright for game playing & eating. Beds could be more comfortable. Shower door slides with difficulty. Bright light option in bathroom much appreciated!

Relaxing getaway

Al and Linda were very responsive and friendly. The cabin had everything we needed, was clean, and conveniently located near the beach (20 minute walk or 5 minute drive). We went during spring break and it was quite cold but we definitely plan to come back during the summer.

Cozy Cottage

We celebrated my husband's 80th birthday with our son is this comfortable cottage. Located near excellent eating establishments and easy access to expressway. It was very clean and the outside patio was great for sitting in the sun to read a book!

Linda is a Registered Nurse/ Case Manager living in one of the southern suburbs of Chicago. She has 4 children and 12 grandchildren (ages 1-22 yrs).
Al grew up in Chicago and is retired from Medical sales/Imaging agents for nuclear medicine. Al has one daughter and is your primary contact for reservations.
We both enjoy riding on the Harley, Music festivals, and annually getting away for 2 weeks from the winter.

Why they chose this property

I have enjoyed the shores of Lake Michigan since a was a small child. It has always been a dream of mine to have a lake front property. When I turned 50, I realized that this dream was not within my budget. I started looking at homes that I could afford near the lake within an hours drive of my primary residence. This property was brought to my attention and I knew it was for me.

What makes this property unique

The property is in a residential area right off of Whittaker on Clay Street. We are 8 blocks from the New Buffalo City Beach, and easy walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It is a small, but comfortable home. Turn-Key property for beach lovers (includes beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys, beach towels, rolling cooler) just bring your swimsuits.
