Wednesday thru Saturday stay

Loved the place with the outdoor area. The area got a little loud on Weekday mornings with delivery trucks and trash trucks. Also needs more privacy in the outdoor area gate side when enjoying the hot tub.

Amazing hideaway

The location is situated very close to all of the shops in Fredericksburg and is a very easy walk. The actual rental was even better in person than the pictures. My girlfriend and I loved our stay there and can’t wait to go back again. The outdoor fireplace and sitting area are very cozy and with the privacy fence you feel like you are worlds away from the rest of Fredricksburg

Great Stay

This was our first time visiting Fredericksburg. Staying here was perfect! Perfect location - one block off Main St. which is convenient walking distance to many bars and shops. This place was like a retreat! So cozy! We loved the patio as well. We enjoyed the hot tub and the outdoor fireplace. (Unfortunately the hot tub wasn’t working the first day of our stay, but it was serviced asap.) My one and only complaint about this property is that the walls are not very sound proof. We could clearly hear our adjacent neighbors. Other than that, this was the perfect getaway! We would definitely stay here again.

Great property and location

Clean, functional, and the location doesn't get any better for a place in town. Literally right in the middle of the Main St. shops, bars and restaurants and 150 steps or less to the corner of Llano and Main. Inside, the bed is comfortable, the kitchen is small but functional with a small fridge, sink and coffee maker, and the oversized shower with two heads is an absolute dream. The indoor gas fireplace (which really puts out some heat) was a nice touch too. The patio is really spacious and private with plenty of seating and the decent size hot tub is great in the evenings after dinner and a long day on the go. For a smaller place, we never felt cramped probably because of the large patio area. Outdoor gas fireplace too that we did not use. Only negative we could think of is with the proximity to the center of town, there will be some traffic noise, not really inside, but definitely when out on the patio. Just the price to pay for being in such a central location. And only issue we had was the fireplace wouldn't stay lit the second night. So we called Gastehaus Schmidt and they sent someone out while we were at dinner to check it and replace the batteries. When we returned, it worked like a charm. Great service, which we've come to expect over the years. This is now our new go-to rental when wanting to stay in town. Absolutely loved it overall.

Great Location adjacent to the main Shopping/Restaurant Row

They did a great job in developing a narrow property into multiple units. First class structure with nice patio/entrance area. Hot tub with fireplace was great. Bookended by a bank and church, its kind-of stuck in there - but it's all about location. Cost is pushing value with cleaning/vrbo fees, but our experience was exceptional.

I thought the unit was nicely arranged and clean with a great location. We also enjoyed the patio space and kitchenette area. For the price paid, however, I believe a bottle of wine/snacks/Nespresso maker would be appropriate.

Amazing and Beautiful!

My wife and I went here for her birthday. This is a beautiful and amazing place to stay! The owners have done a wonderful job making it look nice, keeping it clean and making this a perfect couples getaway place to stay! It comes with romance by means of an indoor fire place, outdoor fire place and jacuzzi. There is a large outdoor patio to lounge and enjoy the outdoors. Not to mention, the shower is amazing! In regards to to location, it is perfect! It is a short walk through a small alley to Main Street for shopping and food. It is off the Main Street to allow for privacy and limited noise. I would highly recommend this to anyone and we will for sure be making this a regular place to stay for weekends in the future!

Great location and private

Property overall was excellent. The one issue I have is the patio area, furniture, fireplace and hot-tub cover had not been cleaned and were covered with pollen and tree droppings. Once you look at the info book inside, it mentions that the patios are only cleaned on Tuesdays, but in my mind, this area is part of the property that is rented and should have been cleaned prior to a guest arrival.

Honeymoon

I was really looking forward to with my wife and I honeymoon but there was a roach that came out of the hot tub, looked like dead baby bugs in hot tub so we did not use it, outdoor patio furniture was dirty, the AC unit sound like it was making ice and making all kinds of racket throughout the night, and I wish we could’ve got to enjoy the hot tub for our honeymoon. The inside of the rental property was beautiful, clean, and that the shower was amazing but we paid extra to have the patio and the hot tub. We chose this property for the hot tub and outdoor patio and we couldn't even use it. Our overall stay was good but it could have been better if the hot tub and patio furniture was up to Par. This is just a suggestion, but it would be nice to have string lights outside on the patio because that would make it more romantic.
