Beautiful cottage nestled in the heart of Northern Ontario. This year around cottage at Star Lake is located approximately 20km of the City of Timmins. Cottage is the main floor and loft area only. The Cottage is non-smoking with two bedrooms. The bedrooms consist of a Queen bed and second bedroom has a double bed. Open loft overlooking the beautiful lake also consists of 2 pull out couches. Amenities include airtight wood stove, appliances, four piece bath, satellite TV and also has cell phone range. Outside the cottage included a deck overlooking the lake with screened gazebo, BBQ, fire pit, dock. A boat can be launched a short distance up the road and can be tied off at the dock in front of the cottage. The great outdoors hosts many opportunities to enjoy. Nickie's Nature trail is a beautiful interpretive trail system on the lake with circle routes of different lengths. The lake offers wonderful scenery for canoeing and kayaking as well as swimming and fishing. Looking for mature quite, clean couple or family. Guests may bring their own firewood or wood is also Available for purchase for $110.00 for a cord.

Family weekend

Beatiful Fully Equipped House on Star Lake

We were at a bonspiel at the curling club in Timmins. We were able to relax between games and cook meals. The wood stove is amazing. The cottage is about 40 minutes from the club, so it was a bit of a drive, but worth it.

Sled Trip with the group

Good location for trailering to Timmins. Cabin was great for the 6 of us and everything we needed. Plenty of room for truck/trailers and everything we needed for an excellent experience.

Absolutely wonderful!

This cottage is on a beautiful, shallow lake. The fishing was excellent. The cottage is stocked with everything that you could need. My family of 7 had a wonderful time. We can't wait to go back!

Gem of a place

Fantastic cottage close to town

It was a perfect stay. The lake was beautiful, would be perfect for a family with younger kids, very shallow, sandy and clear water. The cottage has everything and more, there wasn’t a time that we felt we were missing anything. Sylvie was a perfect host! Next time we head north we will book again. Thanks for everything!

Great stay

Cottage was exactly as described. Communication from the host was prompt. Right on the water. Nice views. Water was clear and shallow with sandy bottom great for kids. It was extremely hot the week we were there so air conditioning would have been nice but fans did help. Only complaint was water pressure was very weak. Otherwise great stay.

Perfect Honeymoon

The cottage offered is absolutely beautiful inside and out. Mornings can be spent on the porch, interacting with chipmunks and squirrels. Seemingly millions of hummingbirds. We also had a couple BlueJays visiting us. On the inside, had everything you could want while staying at a cottage, television, electricity, indoor plumbing. Everything worked, and cleanliness was definitley on point. We took to trails over the week, and found Sunset Bay to be a nice place to take hike to.The little store up on 101 has some necessities and some pretty good bait for fishing. Over all, it's a 5/5 property that I would love to visit again!

Lovely Clean Cottage!

Our family had a lovely time at this cottage! The lake is quiet and there were beautiful sunsets almost daily. The cottage was incredibly clean, which is an issue we’ve experienced in other rentals. All bedding and towels were clean and comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with anything we needed to cook. We would absolutely visit again!

Great place

Star lake is a beautiful, quiet lake with great fishing. We enjoyed our stay in Sylvie's spacious cottage. It had everything we needed which was really nice. WiFi was good which was an added bonus. There was lots to do for the kids! We definitely recommend this place!!

Nice large cottage just outside of Timmins

This cottage is large and bright with plenty of space for spending time with friends and family both inside and out. I stayed with my husband for 1 week in August and we hosted family members for 2 nights. We found the kitchen to be very well stocked with lots of dishes, cutlery, spices etc. The lake is super clean and relatively quiet, but the water is very shallow. The nature trail is just up the road and is absolutely gorgeous (watch out for mosquitoes). The fire pit is wonderful- we used it every night. The 1/2 cord of wood we bought from Sylvie was the perfect amount for us. The host is very responsive, though I had issues with the VRBO app occasionally and the internet signal is weak, but who needs internet when you have nature at your doorstep?

Sylvie's cottage is extremely comfortable with stunning views and very peaceful. An idyllic place for morning coffee, watching the birds and geese. Lots of extras were included, in fact, everything that you may need during your stay. Will definitely be back. Thank you!

Perfect Getaway!!!!

Do not hesitate to book this property! The cottage is incredibly comfortable and extremely well equipped. The deck with the screen room was the perfect place to enjoy a morning cuppa or an evening beverage while watching the daily nature shows of hummingbirds and other little visitors. The lake is gorgeous! The water is clear, and the bottom is sandy not mucky. Sylvie is very very good with her communication and even helped us arrange a wood delivery for campfires. This was one of my best experiences ever; and I rent from this site and others. Cannot recommend this property highly enough!!!!!
