Nice condo, comfy

The condo is nice, seems like it has been updated. The location is not the best as there's quite a lot of walking and taking the elevator. At the same time is pretty quiet.the kitchen appliances are brand new, the couch is super comfy and so are the beds. I would highly recommend to have the beds adjusted as they can get very squeaky. The bathroom sink faucet drain does not work, so it has to be lifted manually after each use. It is not a deal breaker, just small things that can easily fixed. The internet didn't work for 2 days out of 4 day stay. The communication wasn't very helpful.

A Couple of Notes

You cannot beat the location. The staff at the lodge are incredible. The lodge is outdated, but more than serves the purpose given location to skiing. The condo is a little run down, bathroom door won't shut, not enough towels if you are staying more than a couple days (and there is no turn down service AND there is no washer and dryer in the unit even though the ad describes it). But my biggest concern is that, even though I booked in April 2024 for Dec/Jan 2024/25, only in September did I find out I am required to give personal data information to SuperHog (e.g., copy of drivers license, etc.) in order to to stay at the place, and such was after it was too late to book in another place. In my experience, the staff/contact at SuperHog are offshore (I specifically asked and they confirmed they are in India). I was way unconfortable with such, but I would have lost the property if I didn't send the information, and everything else was already booked by the time I found out. And too, they say the data is required to protect my credit card information, but that is not accurate because I had already given my credit card information through VRBO.

Conference goer

Check-in was slow only because I had to go through the hotel and there was a long line. Certainly not your fault! Everything was very clean and just as I expected. My only complaint was there’s no air conditioning but again none of the properties there have air-conditioning so I manage it just fine. I may want to book again next year thank you..

Great stay

Over all a great place to stay. Took off a star because of the narrow hallway which makes it hard to carry skis and elevator doesnt go down to parking deck.

Great location but inconveniences

It’s part of the Beaver Run hotel complex, which means you have great amenities for kids like an outdoor pool, hot tubs and arcade. The location was fantastic to downtown. However, most things were inconvenient, especially if you have mobility issues. You are on the “ground level” but there are still stairs. The elevators are slow. The laundry is coin operated and approx. a 1/4 mile away in a different building that you have to get to through a dizzying array of stairwells, elevators. We got lost every time. The arcade and pool are a distance. Parking is across a busy street.

Pleasant and Comfortable Ski Accomodations

We fully enjoyed our stay at this property. The unit was spacious for two people, nicely decorated, and everything was as advertised. The unit's ski-slope view was enjoyable, and accessing the ski-locker, slopes, and other resort amenities was very easy. I definitely recommend staying at this property.

DO NOT BOOK!

This condo is right on a loud roadway. There is no a/c in the unit so we tried to sleep with windows open to stay cool. We had my grandbabies with us and every time a loud vehicle passed by, they woke up……pretty much every hour. Between the noise, no a/c, having to use old fashioned FANS to try and stay cool, we all got VERY little sleep in five nights. We asked to please be moved to a comparable but quieter unit because no one was able to sleep due to all the noise, they would not work with us at all. Their answer was we will move you but it will cost you almost twice what we already paid. By the 5th night, we were so tired we just decided to leave early and asked for a refund of the last one night due to the above reasons, again their answer was NO. THEN THEY BLOCKED ME, would not take my text or calls.

Great location and amenities

Perfect location to walk to town and the slopes/lifts. Great amenities, loved the hot tubs in the falling snow and the steam room. Enjoyed the fireplace and free wood delivered to our door. The condo is basically on ground level so with lots of snow, We heard the snow plows all night and the traffic at the parking lot for the slopes outside the condo. That was the only negative, would definitely stay at the resort again.

Comfortable Beaver Run stay with good view

Rare 1 bedroom with 2 beds. Most have 1 bed and an uncomfortable sofa bed. All of the amenities of Beaver Run. Enjoyed the stay.

Grand Welcome provided terrible Customer Service

Property was in a great location for skiing. However, the heating system was not operating properly for our entire 5 night stay. With the thermostat either set to a low temperature or completely turned off, the system continued to overheat the condo to unbearable temps. Grand Welcome told us to open the windows. That's ok during the day, but with windows and blinds open at night, it was too noisy and bright to sleep. After maintenance checked the system, they determined it could not be repaired in a timely manner and totally shut off the heat altogether. Grand Welcome told us to either use a space heater (dangerous and ineffective) or use the fireplace if we wanted to stay warm. REALLY??? The heating system could not be repaired in a timely manner and since Grand Welcome had no other properties available, they told us that we were on our own to find an alternative location to stay and to pay for it ourselves. Beaver Run Resort had other nearby rooms available, but Grand Welcome would not provide one to us, or compensate us for the cost of the unit. They finally agreed to refund one night and after protest, some of the room tax. We were left more than $200 short of paying for another nearby room within the Resort. I literally spent hours on the phone with Grand Welcome and VRBO, time with their maintenance staff and sent numerous text messages and e-mails to try to amicably resolve the issue. Hopefully the owner will read this and take issue with the way that Grand Welcome treated us. Hopefully the owner will also rethink their management agreement with Grand Welcome. They are only concerned with protecting their own bottom line. They are terrible to deal with if you're a customer. Please be warned if you have to deal with Grand Welcome should a problem arise.

Nice weekend

Overall the unit is spacious and convenient location. Check in process was difficult as it took them a while to find the reservation in their system. Some dirty dishes left in dishwasher and pile of dirty linens in closet. No extra bedding for pull out couch. Had to find a security guard to help us find the ski locker which is located in another building and long walk from unit.
