Self contained studio unit with a King size bed suitable for a couple, a porta cot or a trundler bed is available if required. Infinity hot water & gas cooking. Microwave, full size oven, pantry & fridge/freezer. There is a sunny covered in deck running along the front of the unit complete with seating to enjoy the evening sun. Semi rural location with the sounds of the Tui's to wake you in the mornings.

Quiet and Comfortable Accommodation
2nd time staying at Westmere Retreat. It’s so quiet and comfy on the outskirts of Whanganui (but still handy to everything). Hosts are very friendly (as is Lucky the cat). We will be back.

A peaceful and restful place
Absolutely enjoyed staying here. Nice and quiet and secure for a woman travelling on her own. Very close to Virginia Lake for those who enjoy walking at a beautiful place. Had a lovely refreshing swim in the pool before leaving. I'll definitely be back

Home away from home
This is a cosy, well appointed cottage, everything one could need for a stay away from home. It’s quite spacious, warm, has a very comfortable bed, and a great shower. Quiet, rural surrounds, yet a few minutes to town, or the beach, or the gardens of Whanganui. Highly recommended!

A perfect place for the two of us for a long weekend.
Easy to find. 5 mins drive to the city but feels like the country. Clean, comfortable and warm. Everything we needed to self cater. Great shower, comfortable bed, quiet. Would definitely return and recommend.

An absolute lovely place
This is not a Bach but a small luxury pearl. We loved staying here, the Bach has everything you need for a short or longer break and the large covered deck is ideal. We will definitely be back and would have loved to prolong our stay.

Visit to Wanganui.
Acomodation clean, tidy and well appointed. Hoist friendly and accommodating. Venue a small drive to town Kiaiwi beach, and gardens but seemed like we were out in the country. Would return and recommend.

Perfect serenity.
I truly enjoyed my stay in this lovely hideout on the edge of the city. It feels like it's in the country, although only minutes from the centre of town. Very clean with everything you need, and a well-appointed kitchen for basic cooking. Will definitely stay again when I am next in town.
