About this property

Perfect for Two Couples with Two King Suites, a Hot Tub + Pool Table

It’s tough to say what you’ll love most about Trail’s End, our 2-bedroom cabin in Gatlinburg’s Black Bear Falls community. Maybe it's the stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains, which you can enjoy from the deck’s hot tub. Or maybe the convenient location—quiet and peaceful among the hills, yet just 5 minutes from downtown Gatlinburg. Or perhaps, it’s the fact that the cabin can sleep up to 8 people. Or it’s the pool table, or the rustic yet sophisticated furnishing…

Let’s start our tour of Trail’s End on the lower of its 2 floors. Here’s where you’ll find the game room, the centerpiece of which is a handsome billiard table. You don’t have to enjoy pool to love this space, though. It’s wonderfully roomy, which makes it a fun spot to play with the kids, and includes a flat-panel TV, French doors that open onto a deck, and a roll-arm sofa that pulls out to become a bed for 2. The sofa in the living room above converts into a bed for 2 as well. Since each floor also has a primary bedroom and a full bathroom, that means 2 families can comfortably vacation together in the cabin.

The lower-level bedroom, just like the bedroom upstairs, is furnished in charming cabin style and utter comfort. The king-size beds in both bedrooms are so luxe, you may find yourself nesting under the blankets much longer than you’d anticipated. Go right ahead—you’re on vacation after all! Prop yourself up on the ample pillows and watch a favorite show on the flat-screen TV, catch up on your reading, or take advantage of the free WiFi to map out your activities for the day.

The upper level is the heart of the cabin, with the open living/dining/kitchen area. In winter the gas fireplace will cast a golden glow on the burnished wood floor, walls, and cathedral ceiling; in summer the ceiling fan will heighten the breeze coming in through the French doors that open onto the deck. And any time of year is a good one for gathering everyone together to watch a movie on the flat-panel TV or play Monopoly on the large coffee table.

Because Trail’s End is so close to downtown Gatlinburg, you’ll have a wealth of restaurants just beyond your doorstep. But sometimes it’s even more fun to eat at home! The roomy dining table seats 6 with ease and is situated by the French doors, so you can look out at the mountains while you dine. Just as important, the fully equipped kitchen has all the appliances, cookware, and tableware you need to prepare a holiday feast for family and friends or simply heat up leftovers from the previous night’s doggy bag. Alternatively, you can barbecue dinner outdoors on the charcoal grill.

After dinner—or before, or late at night, or first thing in the morning—step out onto the deck, kick back on the rockers or the porch swing, and soak up the view and the sounds of the birds singing and the breeze rustling through the trees. For the ultimate treat, step into the deck’s hot tub. There’s nothing like gazing up at the twinkling stars or the sun-dappled leaves from its steamy, pulsating comfort. Should you prefer a little private time, you can retreat to the jetted tub in the main floor bedroom—just what your tired muscles will want after a day of hiking, snowboarding, or chasing the little ones around Dollywood.

Because Trail’s End is part of the Black Bear Falls community, in the summer you’ll have free access to its 2 heated swimming pools, one for kids and one for adults. Anytime of year, however, the cabin’s proximity to the area’s attractions is a major benefit. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Loop, and Ober Gatlinburg Amusement Park and Ski Area are just a few of the must-visits that are mere minutes away.

There’s only one drawback to staying at Trail’s End: You may never want to leave! See for yourself; book your stay today.

Waste of Space/Privacy

The pool table is a waste of space. It is only for looks, becomes there is absolutely no room to play pool. The hot tub was nice , but there is no privacy because the surrounding cabins have direct views of the hot tub.

Pleasant Stay

It was a Pleasant stay. We came for work but decided to make it a mini-vacation as well. The pool and hot tub were nice as everything was very clean. Everything was as described except dishwasher was broken, Video game machine was broken. Those two things didn’t stop us. We can wash our own dishes and we can live without video games for a weekend lol. All in all the place is great, check-in/out was very easy. We will definitely stay here again.

Trail’s End

Had a wonderful experience at this cabin. Very close to downtown with beautiful view of the mountains. Living room was a little small with only a 3 seater sofa BUT, we didn’t spend anytime watching TV anyway. Kitchen was FULLY stocked with pots, pans, plates, etc. Master bedroom was wonderful with jetted bathtub and roomy shower. Mattress could have been more comfortable and bed was loud everytime you move. Bedroom #2 was also wonderful with roomy 2 sinks and decent shower. Pool table was a lot of fun and the main source of our entertainment. My teens wanted to play Wii but the remotes didn’t work, even with fresh batteries. The hot tub was so relaxing after a day of activities and had a great view of the mountains. My family and I would stay here again or at least in that same neighborhood of surrounding cabins.

Lovely location and house but cheap amenities provided

Area and house was great, nice view, comfortable furniture. Near but also far enough away from downtown but with grocery store and restaurants nearby out of the craziness of gatlinburg. The only issue was the very uncomfortable and noisy beds and the very cheap toilet paper provided, also only a couple of dishwasher tabs proceeded and no cloth or surface cleaner, bin bags far too thin and would break easily and too small for trash can. . These are little things but become annoying when staying a week and are easily overcome by providing better quality stuff. Otherwise all was great. Slight problem for check in as never received a code and vtrips didn’t answer email all day and provided no number so had to call Vrbo to sort it out.

Trails End Cabin

Was clean and inviting. It was smaller than it looked in pictures. The neighbors up above us on the last couple days were very loud until late in the night. Also, the cabin below us was being power washed several times while we were, and was very loud. The beds were comfortable. The hot tub was very relaxing. Would stay there again.

The property appeared to have a clear view of the Smokey’s but was in among other cabins.

Cute cabin not quite as big on the inside as photographed. Needs a New Mattress in the Master Bedroom it was awful sleeping. Great location to Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge & Cades Cove. Wished you had a clear view of the Smoky Mountains not looking at the top of other cabins. But overall loved our stay…

The cabin was much smaller than the pictures online depicted.

The cabin was nice, but way too small to sleep 6 or 8 people. We had 4 adults and 2 children 8 & 10 years old.. It could be stocked better with disc towels, dish cloth dish soap, basic daily needs. The appliances were nice, dining table was nice. Living area is too small for 6 - 8 people. The hot tub was enjoyed by all!

Black Bear Falls in late May

Cabin is nice but has a very small living room area with insufficient seating for more than 3 people. Knowing this in advance from the pictures, I took two camping chairs so that four adults would have a place to sit inside and they could be moved outside as seating there is limited to two on the porch. The fireplace is lovely and has is controlled by a timer which was a very nice feature. Never could get the wifi to work with the sign-on/password provided. However, there was an unsecured network available. The main TV is not a smart TV but the one in the pool table area is. I would suggest switching them. Not knowing how well the kitchen would be stocked, I took several pots/pans/knives etc. but didn't need to unpack those at all because everything I needed was there.

Great location!

Wonderful cabin and cabin community. The hot tub was pristine and the view was amazing. The size of the king beds were nice and the pull outs worked well. I would note that the living area was smaller than expected, only one three seater couch for seating.

Depends on what you're looking for

The cabin was accommodating. The water heated up super fast, however the shower head in the upstairs bathroom was terrible. The beds were comfortable enough. The biggest issue was the pictures were entirely deceiving. This looked like a spacious cabin with a fantastic view. It was so much smaller than it was depicted, and the view was non exisistent in September. I believe the outside pictures were taken from another cabin. You are also right in the middle of 6 other cabins so there is no privacy and you can hear everything your neighbors are saying and doing. If you're looking for quiet relaxation with a beautiful view (unless you're going in the winter maybe) this cabin is not for you. Overall the stay was good, just bothersome that it was not as described.

Cozy cabin in great location!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Great location! Minutes away from downtown and activities. Quiet , great view from porch and the hot tub was a nice touch to it all. Only complaint was the pool table had a hump on it and one of the Wi controllers was broken. We also had to take the batteries out of all the remotes in order to play the WI.
