Valhalla - One minute walk to beach, pet friendly, surfing, ocean views

Valhalla is our fantastic pet-friendly ocean-view beach house situated in the idyllic hamlet of Valla Beach mid-way between Sydney and Brisbane. With north-facing views of the ocean and just 150 meters from North Valla Beach, Valhalla is the perfect location for your laid-back beachside family holiday.

Valhalla sleeps nine with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upper level includes a light and spacious kitchen with large open-plan dining and living room making this the perfect family home. The lower level has a large bedroom, separate living room, bathroom and laundry. There are ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms and WiFi is available. Coastal décor, hardwood timber floors and a generous upper level deck offering Pacific Ocean views complete the picture. The deck is the perfect spot for whale watching, star gazing and taking in the brilliance of full moons and electrical storms over the ocean.

Valla Beach is a small community away from the hustle and bustle of city life on the mid north coast of NSW just north of Nambucca Heads and to the south of Coffs Harbour. Our children grew up playing in the waves, creating amazing sandcastles, learning to surf, fossicking for beach treasure in the dunes, exploring the rock platform, paddling in Deep Creek, riding bikes, scooters, and skateboards around the safe family-friendly neighbourhood. We love the easy-going beachside lifestyle, the friendliness of the people and the beauty of the natural environment. We know you’ll love it too.

Valhalla allows a maximum of two dogs. Dogs must be supervised at all times. The property is NOT fenced but there is a front courtyard. Remember to ALWAYS pick up after your dogs. North Valla Beach is dog friendly with the designated off-leash area to the north of the vehicle access track and an on-leash area to the south of the access track. Dog bags are usually provided at the Gregory Street and Cockburn street carparks.

Park-like grounds at the rear of the property are ideal for picnics and outdoor activities. You're sure to see kangaroos grazing at dawn and dusk, sea eagles soaring, and flocks of black cockatoos feeding on headland berries and seeds. With children's playground and café across the road, dog friendly beach 150 metres down the street, and the beauty of the natural environment all around, Valhalla is sure to become your new favourite holiday destination.

Valla Beach has a rich indigenous history with many sites of cultural significance and importance to the Gumbaynggirr People. The majestic Nunguu Mirral (the special place of the golden kangaroo) (Pickett Hill) is the mountain that you can see to the west of Valhalla. Nunguu Mirral holds special spiritual and cultural importance for the first people of this land.

Valhalla is a fantastic base for exploring the local area. The famed artisan town of Bellingen and gorgeous surrounds like the Promised Lands and Never Never Creek are an easy drive. The World Heritage-listed Gondwana rainforests and breathtaking waterfalls of Dorrigo National Park is just an hour away.

The seaside villages of Urunga and Sawtell north of Valla Beach offer beautiful beaches, great cafes, boutiques, local produce and coastal walks. To the south of Valla beach is the small regional town of Nambucca Heads. The place name is derived from the Gumbaynggirr word Ngambagabaga. Nambucca is famous for its boating and fishing, breathtaking views and pristine beaches.

The largest regional centre Coffs Harbour is a 30 minute drive to the north. Coffs Harbour has thriving banana growing and blueberry industries, an airport, international marina and sporting stadium. The wider region is known as the Bananacoast. The Big Banana is a tourist attraction and amusement park featuring the Racer 82m water slide, laser tag, mini golf, ice skating, a theatre providing an educational experience, and a toboggan ride and a water park.
