This grand old homestead is surrounded by lawns, rose bushes and a beautiful hundred year old Chinese elm tree out the front.

Enjoy a drink whilst looking over the picturesque views from the back verandah down towards the river and paddocks beyond. Picnic on the front lawn while you watch the sun filter down through the trees and the cows grazing in the fields.

A great place to stay for bird watching and wildflower adventures. While also being a convenient base from which to day trip to places such as Jurien bay, Lancelin, New Norcia. Or visit local attractions such as the Gingin observatory, Caladenia mini golf and Moore River.

Enjoy reading a book or playing a board game by the open fire place in the sitting room. The Tv cabinet is full of DVDs for quiet family evenings.

Cowalla Homestead is a place to disconnect from the stress of modern life and immerse yourself in the peace of the country living, just over an hour out of Perth.

Nice and cozy country home
We enjoyed our 2 night stay in this beautiful clean and cozy home. The outdoor courtyard was beautiful and we ate our breakfast and dinner there. There were plenty of board games for kids to enjoy. Thank you.

Great little getaway
Our family had an amazing time staying at the Cowalla Homestead. Our son loved watching the cows walk past every day and the huge, grassed lawn was a great place to relax and play for us all. We can't wait to come back again.

The Homestead
We loved every minute of our stay there. It was clean, relaxing, with enough space for all 5 of us. The mattresses were good quality and comfortable. Linen was provided and everything was great. It was so serene there, a place to really unwind. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Chloe

A wonderful winter getaway
Cowalla is a beautiful place to immerse yourself in nature and the history of the area. The homestead is full of character and has been lovingly appointed with the guest's comfort in mind. Its history is available for guests to read to add to the experience. Nearly every night was spent by the fire pit and days enjoyed sitting on the back veranda enjoying the prolific birdlife and beauty of the bush. Chloe is a very gracious host who kindly let us check in early so we could make the most of our trip. We are so glad she did!

Historic homestead experience
Chloe has made the homestead look divine with all the creature comforts that you want for a long weekend or holiday. But you still get to enjoy the experience of stoking the fire to stay warm in winter. The kids had a great time watching the cows cruise past at different times of the day or play footy on the vast lawn space. We drove out to Lancelin for a day, we enjoyed an afternoon drink in the winter sun on the back verandah and learnt about the colourful history of the homestead. Thanks for having us!
