Golden Bear Pause has the perfect mix of indoor comfort & outdoor spaces for the whole family to enjoy.

The open concept great room includes the living room, kitchen & dining area. Flip on the gas fireplace, sink into the sectional & enjoy a movie together on the 55” big screen. The kitchen is complete w/ stainless steel appliances & bar seating for 3--great for socializing while cooking. When dinner is ready, the dining table is steps away w/ seating for 6.

If you prefer to dine al fresco, make your way to the back patio where a gas BBQ, round table & outdoor seating for 6 await!

The backyard is fully fenced for the family dog to roam freely while you kick back & relax in the luxurious hot tub after a day on the mountain or at the lake.

The upstairs master bedroom has a warm king bed & sliding glass doors to a balcony. It is outfitted w/ a desk, ergonomic chair & monitor screen for anyone working from home-away-from-home. The ensuite master bathroom has a jetted tub, walk-in shower & 2 separate sink vanities.

The laundry room is attached to the master bathroom.

Downstairs you’ll find BD 2 w/ a king bed & sliding glass doors to the back deck. BD 3 is also downstairs w/ a full-over-full bunk bed, deck access & 32” TV w/ streaming.

BDs 2 & 3 share a full BA w/ a share/tub combo. A 1/2 BA is near the living room.

1-2 dogs allowed w/ pre-approval. No other animals allowed. Bring your own crate if you plan to leave a dog unattended. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or in/on beds. Any barking or behavior that bothers neighbors is not allowed. You will be responsible for extra cleaning charges for hair on furniture, pet stains, dog droppings & any damage caused by dog(s).

Beds/pillows were very comfy and the hot tub at the end of the day was delightful. The gas fireplace in the master kept the room cozy. Nice quiet neighborhood. Mgmt team was helpful with a lot of communication. Would recommend rental car for this location as the Ubers are outrageous! $50-60 each way to go to South Lake Tahoe/Heavenly even though the drive was under 10 minutes. Other than that we have no complaints!

Overall a very clean and convenient cabin, and we would stay again in the future.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is great. We brought our bikes, tons of trails right down the street. Trail runs right next to a beautiful creek. Saw 2 bears on our trip. Master bedroom was great. Bowls and poop bags provided for the dogs, however dogs are not allowed in bedrooms. Our 2 large dogs are crate trained, but we weren’t prepared to have to crate them in the tight living quarters/kitchen in the front of the house. It’s a minimal issue, just found it weird. Everything was clean and the washer and dryer upstairs was a great bonus. We really looked forward to the hot tub, unfortunately we couldn’t get anyone to come service it. Even asking more than twice to customer service. It got disgusting, it wasn’t extremely clean to begin with. So we weren’t able to use it every night as we intended to(and paid for). They do charge you if you ask for it to be cleaned, I found this off putting but wasnt the end of the world. The bigger issue was no one showing up to service it after the multiple contact attempts. Kitchen is well stocked, bbq worked great and we enjoyed the fire place and large dining room table and couch with our friends.

A Golden Stay

We are two senior couples who needed a pet-friendly property. Golden Bear Pause fit our needs nicely, with 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a fully fenced yard, and a quiet, well-situated location. The house was well-equipped and clean, with a few minor items that need updating. The management company responded quickly when we had some questions. We would stay here again.

Lovely home in the forest!

The house was immaculate and welcoming. The house was located very close to many beautiful forest trails which we visited twice a day. We found that every amenity was available from ceiling fans to complete kitchen and hot tub! The property manager checked in a few times and was very helpful. All in all a great place to call home. Very easy check in and check out too!

Comfortable and clean house for a family, friends, and dog

Our party of two couples, a toddler, and a dog all enjoyed our stay, and we would come again. Because of the extreme amount of snow and ice on the roof from all the big storms this year, there was a wet spot in the carpet near the wall in the kitchen, but the management company was very responsive and sent a maintenance person out to check. The fenced in backyard was great for easy sledding with our three year old, and our dog had a blast as well (there’s also a bigger neighborhood sledding hill behind the nearby fire station that we love). The furniture and beds were clean and comfortable, but it would be great if the owners could add another bedside table to the downstairs bedroom. We do like to cook, and I would say main thing keeping the house from being perfect is the quantity, quality, and condition of the pots and pans - most are beat up, with loose handles and lids that don’t fit. On the plus side, there is an instant pot and crockpot, as well as plenty of dishware, a coffeemaker, etc.

Great long weekend

We booked this place on the snowiest weekend of 23 Tahoe. The indoor gas fireplaces were so oozy as the snow fell. Plenty of room for the family to spread out and we loved having the hot tub. Would most definitely stay here again!

Summer trip

We were very disappointed in RnR vacation rental company. We arrived on Monday and went to use the hot tub. The lock to the hot tub broke and only 1 jet in the hot tub was working. I contacted RnR and to inform them about the lock and the hot tub issue. I was informed they would bring a new lock and look into the hot tub issue. Two days later I called again. I was informed someone would come out and look at the hot tub but they were very busy and they could not come out until Saturday. We also informed them the water was cloudy. Someone came Saturday and tried to repair the hot tub. No lock was provided at that time. Thankfully we didn’t have small children who could have accidentally climbed in and drowned. Our main reason for renting a home is the hot tub and location. It’s a perfect location but we were disappointed in RnR service. The house is well stocked and the master bedroom bed was perfect.

The bed in the master bedroom was quite firm and my husband and I were feeling it every morning. The open concept kitchen/dining/living area were terrific and we enjoyed being together. The hot tub was very nice but there was not steps to get in or out making it a challenge each time. We are tall but it was still difficult. Also, the hot tub does not have the bar holder to help with top. Therefore each time you open it falls to the ground making for alot of wear and tear on the top and needing extra strength and definitely two people to open and close it. The managment company RnR is wonderful and we have rented from them before and would always seek them out in the future. A few small tweaks and this home could be five star. Overall we enjoyed our time.

Perfect for lake wedding weekend

My husband and I stayed at this adorable property last weekend as we celebrated our wedding at a nearby hotel. The house was beautiful, cozy, clean and quiet. The location was great as it was only about 7 mins from the beaches. We will definitely be returning for future Tahoe getaways.
