Good value but missed the mark in several areas
First, let me say that the house capacity was a great value for the price.
However, if you’re pickier than me, there are things you’ll want to know. The pool was dirty, like the filter wasn’t working properly and when we called about it, they “sent someone out” who added cold water to it but didn’t address the dirt and debris at the bottom of the pool. They left the hose out by the pool which propped the back gate open and was easy to trip over.
We paid for the hot tub and pool to be heated. They were cold when we got there and the hot top switch didn’t work so the jets didn’t turn on. They sent someone out the next day and the pool was warmer but the hot tub never got hot. Maybe hot tubs are different in the south? Idk. You’ll probably need to call to make sure the heat is actually turned on because I’m not sure it would have been had we not called.
The ceiling fan, light, and bedside lamp didn’t work in the upstairs queen bedroom, which made the room (and the entire upstairs) very warm for sleeping. We called about this and they said they had to order a new remote for the ceiling fan/light. We never saw this come to fruition in the 10 days we were there. They never replaced the bedside lamp bulb which meant the room was only lit by one bedside lamp- not ideal.
Note: The location provides minimal essentials for the 10 days we stayed: one garbage bag, one dishwasher pod, one roll of paper towel, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. We didn’t realize this before coming- probably missed it in the fine print of the reservation. Not a big deal but we didn’t know before coming so had to do some extra shopping.
The property can be difficult to get into with the guard gate. There can be a line that takes a bit to get through. We used Uber/Lyft to get around and I think renting a car would have been easier.
This property is run by a larger property management group so while you can get ahold of people with concerns, they don’t have ownership interest in the outcome. When we asked for late check out because our flight was later in the afternoon and our transport wasn’t coming until noon, they charged us $70 for 2 hours. On the balance, I thought was tacky given the fact we didn’t have lights in one room the entire trip and the pool was dirty.
I think some people would have left or filed a claim given some of the issues but I’m not all that fussy and I have kids so don’t expect super nice accommodations while traveling.
