About this property

Sun & Seclusion - All-Season Cottage

Spacious 2100 sq ft cottage with a Scandinavian feel, nestled on a large, densely-wooded property. 90 minutes from downtown Toronto. A few minutes' walk to the picturesque Bluewater Beach and Dunes. The perfect place to get away (or work remotely) no matter the time of year! Enjoy beaches, hiking, biking, skiing, snowmobiling and so much more. Sleeps up to 11. Wi-Fi. Wood fireplace.

The main, upper level is open concept and boasts a living room with a natural wood fireplace and comfortable chairs and sofas. The living room opens into the dining area, which has a large table that seats 8 comfortably. From the dining area you can walk outside into the screened "Georgian Bay" room, which has its own table with seating for 6.

The kitchen is spacious and modern, with quartz countertops, stove/oven, dishwasher, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, tea kettle and all the dishes, cups, glasses and utensils you'll need.

There are three bedrooms on the upper level. The master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The remaining bedrooms share a hallway bathroom equipped with a shower and jacuzzi bathtub.

Walk downstairs and you'll find a large, comfy family room with a large sofa, a futon sofa and a large coffee table, perfect for those family board games or puzzle building. The family room has a 52" LCD TV, a Playstation 3 for the kids (big or small), and an Apple TV with Bell TV and *lots* of streaming options: Netflix, Crave, Disney+, Prime Video, Apple TV+ and more.

Also on the lower level is a third bathroom and a fourth bedroom that is home to a single-over-double bunk bed. The fourth bedroom also has a small desk in case you need a quiet space to work remotely.

Outside, besides the screened in deck space, we have a large, wrap-around deck. There is also a charming gazebo and a fire pit. A fire permit is available but please be sure to check with us first as township fire bans are possible (always check at tiny.ca to be sure).

Wi-Fi is available throughout the space, making it great for working from home, though we hope you won't need to!

Easy to get to and very comfortable in all seasons. The cottage is fully winterized with central heating. In the summer months, you can cool off with the central A/C.

Ample parking is available on the property, with space for 4-6 cars. Please do not park off the driveway or parking spaces, however.

Great place to stay
Nice host gift with the children in mind, the inflatable ring saw lots of use.. the beach at the bottom of the street is fantastic and only a 5 minute walk. We surveyed some other nearby beaches no where as nice. When we had a dishwasher problem repair was arranged promptly. There is a good chance we will return.

My wife Roxanne and I are professionals, living in Toronto. We both love to travel. Happy places: getting pushed back into your seat as a jet throttles up on takeoff, canoeing a still river in the wilderness, a refreshing beverage after trekking all day, and a warm summer afternoon by the lake.

Why they chose this property

We have been coming to Tiny off and on for twenty years, and it has always had a special appeal. With the birth of our first child, we wanted to have a place for him to create those lasting childhood memories.

Tiny is easy to reach from the city and offers a bit of everything: fantastic beaches in summer, great access to skiing in winter, excellent cycling and hiking opportunities, and so much more.

What makes this property unique

The house has all the amenities of home, while still retaining that cottage feel. It's nestled among many mature trees, giving the impression of being deep in the forest. Still, you are only a few minutes' walk from the beautiful beaches Tiny has to offer. There is a municipal beach access point 200 m away, and a short walk further will bring you to the spectacular Bluewater Beach Park, with its boardwalk taking you over natural dunes to a wide-stretching beach.
