Enjoy a relaxing stay at Lake Escape where the lake is just steps away!

Read a book on the deck, watch the boats enjoy a coffee and BBQ your next meal. Lake Escape is
situated in town so shops, restaurants and the pier are just a short walk away.

Open living space and beautiful views of the lake make all times of the year enjoyable. The kitchen is filled with dishes, utensils, pots, pans, spices, basic pantry items, tea and coffee for your use. The laundry area is ready for you with detergent so you won't have to bring home a big bag of laundry. Towels are provided for the washroom and beach towels are available for the beach. When you return from the beach the outdoor shower is perfect for washing away the sand. All bedding is provided as well.

A great place for family

Hard to find a good cabin that has enough bedrooms and dining space for a family of 6, and this cabin fits the bill to a tee. Had everything we need, beds were very comfy, great dining table to eat and play games and wonderful living room to socalize. A beautiful view of the lake and tons of great restaurants and shops close by. We went in the winter and the ice fishing village so close is great. Fenced in yard for our dog was very nice. Host there for anything you need.

Great Accommodations for Short Stay Golf Outing

Loved the location and the facilities. Ideal accommodation for 4 golfers who all prefer their own bedroom. Only criticism is constant hum heard and felt in all the bedrooms from HRV or furnace fan which cannot be turned off.

Spacious and well equipped cabin by the lake

My family met in Gimli for the Islendigadaugarinn from Thursday to Monday. We really enjoyed staying at the cabin by the Lake Escape. We spent a lot of time on the big deck overlooking Lake Winnipeg. Everyone had a comfy bed to sleep in. The kitchen is well stocked. It was busy this weekend at the beach with people setting up their picnics next to the fence so it was noisy at times. We enjoyed the people watching so it wasn’t a problem for us. The hosts were very prompt in replying to my questions. Overall a great place to stay for a family reunion.

Beautiful Cottage in the Perfect Location

Our family had a great stay in Gimli and really enjoyed that the cottage was close to downtown but in the more quiet section of the beach. We could not have asked for a better cottage to meet our needs. Tom was very responsive to our messages and questions and was so nice to communicate with. We will be back next year!

Very satisfied!!

We very much enjoyed our stay. There were 11 of us. Lots of room in the cabin and on the deck. Great location for beach use and walks. Our grandkids loved it, what a great family time. We used the fire pit both nights. The cabin was well supplied and very clean. Would definitely go again.

Fishing trip

I have stayed in a lot of VRBO spots. This was the best owner communication I have ever had. Tom was very helpful and accommodating to all our needs. The homes were great and location perfect for our group Will be staying here again. The large living room area was really great where we all could be together comfortably with plenty of room

Worst VRBO experience in 20 years

This cottage is extremely noisy. There is a constant sound of pumps running. We turned off heat, AC and HRV. Not sure if it is sump pump or if other pump was the cause of noise (perhaps radon removal pump?). One night it sounded like water pipes were bursting at 4 am. I can only think water heater was continuously dumping and filling up, but various rooms of cottage are locked up so could not determine cause of noise. Impossible to sleep in this this cottage, even with ear plugs.

Fantastic stay in Gimli

We had a wonderful time staying at Cheryl and Tom's place in Gimli. Tom was quick to respond to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. The check-in process was exactly as described and the place was clean and perfect for our needs (4 adults plus children). We loved the location - directly across a public path from the beach, walking distance to a playground/splashpad or to the ice cream / fish & chips. Highly recommend Cheryl and Tom's place and look forward to going back there again!

Wonderful Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend in Gimli. The cabins location was perfect, and made going to the beach so easy. Most of the rooms had a ceiling fan so it didn't get too hot, except for in the kitchen (no ceiling fan in that room). The extra fridge in the living room was a bonus, and the deck was a great spot for us to visit and play cards. We were a family of 10, and the giant dining table fit us all perfectly which is a rare find.

Amazing . . . exceeded our expectations in every way!

I'm submitting the review on behalf of an adult group (7 in party) of well-travelled Vrbo clients. . . . Our three-night stay was amazing and we concluded that although the listing is 100-percent accurate it cannot do justice to the spectacular lake view, walkability, and the spaciousness, airiness, comfort of the cottage for special occasions. With unseasonably sunny/warm weather for early June, the cottage remained cool with great cross-ventilation. For those who prefer it cooler, AC is available. A perfect choice for families of all ages although in order to accommodate larger groups, accessing an upper bunk will be required! The owner truly deserves rave reviews for incredible attention-to-details, personal and timely communication, and a willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that guests' expectations are not just met but surpassed.

Spring break

Relaxing Getaway

This was our first time using the VRBO site, and our first experience couldn't have been better! We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and recharge. The location was awesome, as everything was within walking distance and the space was perfect for our family of 5, plus our dog. The kids are already asking when we're going back!

Coming Together

My family and I travelled to the area for my fathers funeral. It was so nice to be able to all stay together while we grieve and have a place that felt like a home for us during our stay, rather than just a hotel. This house was very easy to navigate and even maintain during our stay. We had so many other things going on to think about and this property seemed to lessen our load with a spacious, non-cluttered rental. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your home. Every time we return we’ll remember, “that’s where we stayed when our dad passed,” and it will be a beautiful part of our story.

A great stay at a great property!

We stayed in Gimli for our annual girls weekend and enjoyed our time immensely! The property was clean, very easy to check in, and a fabulous location! Watching the sun rise over the water was a great way to start the day. Highly recommend.
