First, the good. This side is quite nice and charming. It has a small bar with an extra sink and a commercial roll out for hanging clothes. It has a nice little sitting area with a fireplace. Keep reading. For the bad, if you have two couples, which was the case for us. There were no doors to the bedroom’s not even a curtain. Then, the bath/shower is treacherous. I had to get help from my husband to get safely out. It was very tall and enveloped in rocks. The step leading up into the shower jagged rock and it needs hand rails. Maybe it’s just a deal with short people, but the bathroom vanity is too tall. The bed we got was hard and uncomfortable. The other bed was soft and comfortable. I could actually see day light or moon light between rocks and doorways.
So, for this cottage, I wouldn’t go with a 2 couple scenario.

Cute but needs a little help
The inside was clean, a little musty and the tub very dated. The outside needed a lot of love. Did not enjoy sitting out like we thought we would. Not exactly where I was thinking the location was.
Terrific location walking distance to Main St., the place where everything happens. Easy drive to wineries and Enchanted Rock. Just a great getaway weekend and our VRBO didn't disappoint. I would definitely stay here again. No kitchen seemed odd, but we ate out (Hangar Diner, Sunset Grill, etc.) and didn't really miss it. I recommend this trip and location, highly!!
The King size beds were so comfy. We enjoyed the seating area to watch some tv and unwind after a day of shopping on Historic Main Street
I wish we would have taken advantage of the Hot Tub, just didn't plan a long enough trip. Maybe next time!!!
The property host was very responsive and helped us get a short notice reservation. The house was as expected and worked very well for us. The only issue was there wasn’t any hot water. If we had stayed more than one night that would have been a big issue. If the hot water issue is resolved we would rent this home again.

DELIGHTFUL!
My wife and I shared the cottage with our daughter and her husband who is stationed at Laughlin AFB. The Bowie Cottage was perfect for two couples. We had plenty of privacy when necessary but the separate privacy doors opened easily to provide a common area. The cottage was super clean with a nice supply of towels, paper products, coffee, etc. The streets bordering the cottage are lovely with less than a mile to the center of shopping and dining. We drove and parked nearby several times but the walk is pleasant. Very nice! Delightful! Thank you!

Subpar
The front and back yard were in bad shape. The tv didn't get any local channels, only Roku. The set up of the whole place was weird. There were 2 small refrigerators, when they could have moved some things around and put one large one. You could tell that there was no dining area, because it was made into another bedroom. It wasn't cozy or inviting, some of the other homes we've stayed in. The back bathroom bathtub was filthy. My sister came to the other bathroom to take a shower. We will not return to Bowie Cottage.
This house is in a great neighborhood and convenient to home base from. It’s not set up for cooking/eating meals but has a lovely backyard with a hot tub; a great place to enjoy a glass of wine. Hot water was an issue throughout the weekend. One of the bathroom showers didn’t have hot water (irrespective of anyone else using hot water or not) more than it did. The property manager was responsive and quick to send someone out to look, but they decided it was because we were out of hot water- which ended up not being the issue.
Nice house with plenty of space. Unable to enter due to door not working properly however management came over as soon as I contacted and fixed the issue. Hot tub is older and needed cleaned out but pleasant stay with accurate photos of house.
It is a great little place that was well appointed and in a great location. I would recommend for sure. Just note that there is not a full kitchen so if you plan to cook it won’t be there. We opted to eat out at all the great places anyway. Can’t wait to go back.
We have been celebrating "friends" birthday for 25 years. We love to travel and experience new places. This was a great getaway and enjoyable experience. Thank you.
