Beautiful area and right on the water. VRBO listing did not state linens were not provided but a backup confirmation email did let us know so we were prepared
The location is desirable. It is centrally located along the coast; it's a beautiful area with interesting sites; there are good bakeries, restaurants (look for hidden gems!), shops, etc. We enjoyed watching the lobster boats going out and coming in. The property manager is available, helpful, and responds quickly.
Essentially, the cabin and the vacation were marvelous. My only real complaint came as a result of not believing that 7 hours of house cleaning were done prior to our visit...there were dust bunnies under the beds, a lost earring under one of the beds, soap residue/mush on the soap holder in the shower, and probably worst of all I would lay money on it that the bath mat had not been washed in weeks (plural). Fortunately, we brought our own towels and bath mat. Oh...almost forgot...there was a carton of sour milk in the refrigerator. And, oh, I almost forgot too....the fireplace had not been cleaned out and was full of ashes. I think if our cleaning person had been given a refresher course on what should be done in between cabin guests would go a long way to making this the perfect cabin. Shiela, our rental agent, was prompt and very helpful, answering all our questions. No issues there. The cabin itself is adorable and it was exactly what we were looking for in terms of style / layout / proximity to the harbor. Peaceful and quiet. All in all, it was absolutely wonderful except for the cleanliness of the place.

Place to watch lobster boats
The view of the harbor was very nice and we enjoyed watching the lobster boats come and go. Near restaurants and pemaquid beach. The cottage was clean and well kept. Plenty of room for a couple and two dogs.
Really enjoyed our stay at this cottage above New Harbor. Great view of the working Harbor off the back deck. Good food nearby, a small grocery with most anything you need. A coffee in the morning ice cream in the evening shop at the top of the hill. Good location for scouting the bays in this part of Maine, Boothbay to Camden. The internet was off and on while we were there as was I assume the TV as it's wifi as well, (Though I have to say we didn't even turn it on till we had been there 5 days). Of course we didn't go to Maine to surf the internet. Overall a great trip.
