We are centrally located in the heart of East Vancouver in the Hastings Sunrise neighbourhood. A short stroll to Commercial Drive - 'old world' Italian cafes, boutiques, restaurants, craft breweries and the East Village - a burgeoning, hip scene with great bars, restaurants and shopping. The space has been completely renovated with radiant in-floor heat in the bathroom and new Scandinavian-inspired furniture and flooring. Cozy and warm in winter and cool and light in summer!

Everything was fine..Place was clean and owners were nice people...A little small quarters , but had most everything required to cook and eat meals...Close to most tourist attractions...Central location!

Wonderful weekend!
This property is very well located ,, just outside of Downtown Vancouver. The suite was cozy for two people. I went with my daughter for her birthday and this being our first time in the west coast, the rental made it worth the visit. The host provides perfect detail in instructions and an accurate description of the home. Definitely recommend. Thank you again for having us

Perfectly situated cozy getaway
Unit was perfectly situated to all of our activities and just right for our needs. Hosts were quick to respond to any inquiries. It's always tough when traveling to find lodging where the bed compares to home. We could not have been more pleased and had a restful weekend. Everything you need in a small space
This is a well thought out suite, everything you need for cooking, very comfortable bed, lots of storage space, heated bathroom floor, huge bath towels, even a Dyson hot/cool fan. Close to Commercial Drive and Renfrew shopping centre, street parking at curbside.

Great Hosts
This was a great stay. Really nice hosts that were really helpful when we had any questions. The suite had a ton of useful information about things to do in the neighborhood and the surrounding area. Lots of small details that go a long way like having a selection of snacks and having soap and shampoo (many places I have been don't offer this). Would stay again.

Retreat after Alaska Cruise
The neighborhood was quiet plenty of on street parking. Slyvia was very welcoming and had a binder of great places to visit and restaurants within walking distance. Ee stayed here for a few nights after an Alaskan cruise to get ideas for a future vacation there is so much to do and hope rhis property is still available for our trip!

Great location
This basement suite was in a nice quiet neighborhood of East Vancouver. It is well equipped and very clean. We’ve stayed at several VRBO properties and this by far was the best equipped and cleanest property we’ve stayed at. We love to walk so we walked everyday to the vibrant Commercial Dr. where you will find countless restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. The hosts live upstairs and are very quick in responding to messages. If you are big into watching TV it is very small. It wasn’t an issue for us. Laundry is only available for a cost of $10 but there are a couple of laundry mats on Commercial Dr. Highly recommend staying at this property.

A Cozy, Quiet Retreat
If you're looking for a quiet, immaculately clean and cozy spot to rest while visiting Vancouver, then you'll want to check out this place for sure. Tucked away on a lovely street and close to parks and restaurants, the noise of the city is absent but you're still close enough to the city without the high-price of downtown properties. We loved it and plan to return again.

I have lived in Vancouver my entire life and my husband is originally from Victoria, BC but has spent the majority of his adult life in Vancouver. He is a music educator and Taiko drummer and I work as a Voice Artist and Director. As an avid mountain biker, my husband can tell you exactly where to hike and bike if you're an outdoor enthusiast. I love cooking and eating great food and drinking delicious wines and can offer recommendations on local eateries.

Why they chose this property

We can be hands-on or hands-off depending on your needs. We live upstairs and do our best to keep noise levels to a minimum but some day-to-day sound transfer can be expected. We are centrally located, close to Commercial Drive and the Hastings Sunrise area but on a quiet street where you can enjoy a good nights rest before heading out the next day to enjoy the surrounding area, downtown Vancouver or the North Shore mountains. The space is immaculately kept and cleaned and super cozy in Winter and lovely and cool in Summer.

What makes this property unique

Clinton Park across the street, free street parking, Wi-fi, NETFLIX, shared laundry (upon request and for a fee), 15 minute walk to local craft breweries, 20 minute drive to the North Shore mountains, 1.5 hour drive to Whistler mountain and village. Affordable, clean and comfortable accommodation in the heart of East Vancouver.
