Windsurfer Beach Chalet - 2

One night stays available!
The Windsurfer Beach Chalets are located on the beach front and have the Offshore Coffee shop and bakery right next door, so it’s not far to go for the early morning coffee. It’s easy walk to the super market and park or take a stroll along the beach to the jetty for a bit of fishing then up to the Endeavour Tavern for lunch on the lawn.

The Chalets are fully self contained with everything you need for relaxing getaway, each has two bedrooms, with a Queen size bed in the main room and two set’s bunk beds in the second bedroom. Each chalet has ducted airconditioning as well. There is a covered courtyard available to all the Chalets that includes bbq’s, outdoor setting and garden area off the rear of the Chalets. Each Chalet has plenty of room for parking and there is also room for a boat or two.

All linen is supplied including towels.
The Main bedroom has a Queen Sized bed, Bedroom 2 has 2 sets of bunks (4 single adult-sized beds)
TV, DVD, Pedestal Fans, mini oil bar heaters
Fully equipped kitchen including fridge, microwave, gas stove & oven
Bathroom/Toilet
Initial supplies of dishwashing liquid, spray cleaner, sponge, scourer & toilet rolls are supplied, additional requirements are to be provided by guests
All fish to be cleaned on the beach please!

No AirConditioning and Ants Nests

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were not happy with our stay at the Windsurfer Chalets. This being our third year staying in the same chalet, we knew what to expect.We arrived to a laminated note telling us the airconditioning was not working. When speaking to the chalet contact, we were told that since they provided a fan and small portable air unit this was sufficient. Also that it was in the terms and conditions if something wasn't working, its not their responsibility. Only when pressed were we offered compensation. Since we had to leave the doors open, and the screen doors shut to get any relief from the humidity and heat, all of the unit, our bedding, belongings etc were covered in grime, dust and dirt that came in on the wind.On top of this we found the nest of ants living in the wall of the kitchen. No, not ants coming in from the heat but a nest within the internal wall. No help or explanation or compensation was offered for this. None of the other 4 units in the row had this experience while we were there. We ending up leaving after 2 nights. We and the rest of our group will not be rebooking.

Rooms small no bedside tables, no cupboards in bedrooms..bathroom small.

The chalet was perfect for us, it had all we need for a comfortable stay and is literally a few steps away from the beach. Cafe next to the chalets have a lot of options. The unit was clean and the beds are comfortable. Kitchen had all we need to cook as all restos are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Would be good if they can put blinds on the back door and clothes horse for wet swim wears and towels. Over all, we loved it and looking at going back.

That was ok but the furniture was extremely dirty, especially the couch and chairs, so much that we avoided sitting on them. The bunk beds were unsafe for children to sleep on as the top bunks had no safety rails. We had to remove the mattresses from the top bunks so the kids could sleep safely. On the positive the location was amazing and we enjoyed our visit.

The fly screen door at the front could not be locked and the fly screen door at the back could not be unlocked. The accommodation was very clean and the beds comfortable. It is clear there has been some updates made. Curtains in the property are looking a little worse for wear with some dirty marks (food maybe). The position is great and that’s what you pay for. Expensive if you compare to accommodation over the road at G’day park. Not sure why an $80+ cleaning fee was required when booking. Hoping we get that repaid as we left the property as clean as we found it.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The units are lacking in maintenance. The stoves don't ignite the gas, curtains are not hung properly and look unsightly, no hot water in unit 1 so we moved next door. Very disappointed except we did get a refund for day 2 as we didn't stay.
