My Mum and I had a wonderful stay at this property. It is so peaceful and quiet with beautiful views of the ocean and birdsong in the trees. The hosts have thought of everything and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the outdoor seating areas - in the sun and the shade. Our 2 dogs loved being with us and we appreciated being able to take them. It’s only 10 mins from Matakana and there are so many things you can do in this region. I highly recommend this property.

Great getaway
My partner and I had a beautiful time here over our anniversary weekend. All areas available to us were amazing, the chalet itself was comfortable and homely, the outdoor area looking out to the beach through the trees was serene (especially on a clear night, the view of the stars was incredible) and then just a short walk down to the beach where we use the kayaks both days we were there. Couldn’t recommend more, we will definetly be back. The photos truely don’t do it justice!

Great cozy place to stay - nice walk along the waterfront . Surrounded by trees and birds. House has a coffee machine and plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the view.

We are ancients, in our 70s and more recently from our past home on Gt Barrier Island.
We have five children and 15 grandchildren plus one great grandson who are long out of the nest and mostly living overseas. So we rent out our own cottage often to go over to visit or our little chalet by the night. We love motor-homing so are often away in that also.

Why they chose this property

We discovered this little piece of paradise, a reminder of our home on Barrier and the same proximity to the beach. We love it here and will stay as long as possible.

What makes this property unique

Bush and bird life, water proximity, outlook, general tranquility, ocean beach of Tawharanui so close, village cinema, shops cafes and restaurants only 10 mins.
Just about paradise.
