We loved our stay at Mika's cottage. Very well equipped inside and out. Cottage is spacious yet cozy, comfortable beds, fabulous living room and kitchen areas. the property is equally enjoyable. Large deck with lots of comfortable seating, Weber BBQ, dining table. Fire pit encircled with Muskoka chairs. Large dock. We so enjoyed the provided bikes and the canoe
I really enjoyed staying at Jackie's cottage. It met all expectations as per the listing. It was clean, calm with a nice energy. Typically we stay on the lake, so I was not sure about the River - but it was very close to the lake and I enjoyed SUPing in the river area. It also felt like a nice community.
I have not stayed near Bracebridge before, but I think now it is my favourite town in Muskoka. The people I met were lovely and you have everything close by (but not too close).
When we arrived it was extremely hot and humid out so we needed some type to cool down the place and get the air through the place - but it was ok. Jackie was very receptive to whatever questions we had, and responded with grace.
I recommend this location and hope you enjoy it too!
The property was as advertised and met or exceeded our expectations. It was clean, appropriately stocked, and included many attractive features - all of which worked well.
Worth noting in particular is the outdoor features. The properties location is fantastic nestled close enough to bracebridge for a quick drive in to town for a meal or shopping but excluded enough goving it that real cottage feel. It is directly on the water, inclusive of a dock and plenty of varied outdoor seating which is a huge feature - you cam choose to sit on the muskoka chairs on the dock, an outdoor couuch on the dock, the chairs by the outdoor fire pit, or the couches on the deck by the house, also inclusive of outdoor patio, umbrella, and grill. The putdoor features and comforts really make the propery stand out. Although, the space in the main room indoors came in handy for the one thunderstorm that rolled through. I would recommend this property and will most likely be staying here again.
The water off the dock is clean and great for swimming. The cottage is a very short boat ride from Muskoka lake so renting a boat (separate from cottage rental) is a good idea.
The place was nice. Quiet but close to town. Semi close to a marina. No traffic or noise due to marina.
Host was nice and helpful. Very polite and left a thoughtful gift. It was very appreciated. A few little touches would’ve put it over the top.
No a/c was a killer
Only swimable off the dock.
Beach was only a 3 minute drive away.
It was a pleasant stay.
This was an nicely updated cottage. Indoor and outdoors, the property was very comfortable. The view was spectacular!
Use of the paddle boards really added to the fun, of our time at the cottage.
The fans were a must with no A/C available.
