Lack of communication

The address we were given for GPS took us to the event center. There was a lady there setting up for an event who then led us to our cabin. Otherwise, we’d just be driving around hunting for it ourselves. It was not told to us to keep going up the road to find our cabin. Then when we got to our cabin an elderly man approached us to inform us that our cabin had electrical issues & that he was moving us to a cabin next door. He admitted he knew the day before that there was an issue but failed to inform us & give us an opportunity to cancel. The cabin we rented (Honey Bee) had a private porch & the one we were moved to did not have a private porch. The road was visible along with passing cars & there was another cabin visible. We were told by the man, that never introduced himself, that the other cabin was vacant for the weekend, however the lights were on all night & we saw another couple through the windows. We were not comfortable with the communication or the lies. This was our 15th wedding anniversary trip & we just wanted some quiet time alone & we heard the other couple arguing loudly the entire night on Saturday. We thought about calling to complain, but the. you never know how other people will react when they know you’ve complained. Other than that, we had a nice time & the cabin was great. Bed was very comfortable & the hot tub was perfect. We saw a few deer & that was neat to watch in the woods. Thank you!

Time to unplug

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend! The cabin was clean, very well taken care of. The hot tub was clean and very warm. The cabin itself was equipped with everything that someone would need. Overall a great experience and would definitely come back and recommend to anyone.

HoneyBee :(

We loved the location and setting of the cabin in the woods. However, we were not happy with this rental. They need to replace the mattress and box spring because the mattress sank to the box spring and the springs creaked every time you moved in the bed. They need to replace the burnt out and all dim lights with LED. This place does not get much natural light so it was very dark without good light. The loveseat and chair look good but were not comfortable. The towels were thin and felt light you were using a loofah on your skin. The batteries were bad or empty in the remotes. Water was leaking from the water line below the hot tub and we were worried about the electrical power of the hot tub so this was not used.

Our weekend stay

Mine and my fiancées weekend getaway was very secluded, romantic and cozy in this cabin. We both thoroughly enjoyed our weekend together. Everything was very clean and well organized as advertised. We will definitely consider revisiting the same cabin again in the near future. The only issue we had on our stay was the wifi was having problems and kept going out constantly, but other than that, everything was great.

The Honeycomb Hideout

Nice, private, perfect getaway! The charcoal grill came in clutch. Grilled the first night and enjoyed the hot tub on the private screened in porch. Our next day was filled with outings to a few places in the area which were no kore than a 15 minute drive from the cabin. Working the ac unit took some figuring out but nothing too troubling. The kitchen could use a few more glasses and utensils, but definitely enough to make do. The place was clean, area was nice, and we felt right at home. Overall greatly satisfied! Would definitely book again.

Perfect Escape!

Took the puppy and my husband for a birthday weekend. Loved the place so much, we are considering renting multiple of these properties for a family trip next year.

Perfect location in the mountains, yet a short drive into Helen. Exactly what we were looking for. The manager of the property, Derrick, was very nice and accommodating. Will return in the summer!

Late Dec stay

Overall we enjoyed our 3 days. Close to Helen and quiet at night. There was no charcoal or lighter fluid for the grill and the kitchen could use a few extra's (like tin foil and spices).

Great place to stay!

Had a great stay, it was comfortable, clean and warm. The only nits are they need new towels and bedding as it is getting worn. The kitchen utensils were lacking so those should also be updated.

Wonderful Stay!

The Honeybee was the perfect cabin for our getaway. It was very clean, had everything we needed and was in a very quiet place! Will definitely be going back to this place! We visited all the sites around us and went to the wonderful town of Helen Georgia. Absolutely loved the cabin.

Weekend Getaway

My husband and I booked a last minute getaway to escape the miserable heat of New Orleans. The property was pet friendly. It was close to coffee shops, wineries, hiking trails, restaurants, and downtown Helen, but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. We had 1 problem with an outdoor light and the maintenance man was very attentive and on site within 30 minutes to assist and repair quickly. We would definitely return!

Honey Bee cabin

Very upset advertised a hot tub and it was NOT working. This was the reason I rented the cabin. The tv did not work streaming movies was a nightmare due to slow internet connection. The price was NOT worth the cabin low end towels. Cabin appeared clean but when I started to clean up I found someone else’s dog hair under beds and furniture! The area was beautiful hidden in the woods. Saw a bear and had birds singing. I should have listened to the prior reviews! NOT WORTH the money they charged!

Great cabin with hot tub. We were fortunate to be the only ones around...so private. Hot tub was so nice. Had a little cookout one night for dinner. Everything you think of when looking for a cabin in the woods.

So, to sum it up...i arrived at the cabin and not key was in the lock box. It seems that the cabin was doubled booked and someone else was occuping the cabin.

Was just okay

Well one of the reasons we picked the place was the hot tub. The hot tub did not look like the pictures it has aged. When we got there it was ice cold and never got hot the first night at all. Also if you plan on cooking bring your own knives cause there knives couldn’t cut lettuce. Also do not plan on relying on the internet at all. It barely works for the tv and will not support any of your devices
