Christmas getaway

The stay was very nice. I emailed the property manager a question and never received a response. The lights in the house were very dim and checkout at 10am felt rushed. But over all, we loves the location and the house. I would definitely stay there again.

Family Christmas

Our experience was overall good. When we first arrived the guest at the property opposite ours was walking around the property looking at the grill and items that were on the property. He told us he needed a barbeque. We found this to be odd but encountered no other issues throughout our stay. The house was perfect for us, plenty of sleeping and room for everyone. No trash can was available outside for trash and the trash cans inside the kitchen were very small. We would definitely stay at this property again.

Good, but...

The cabin is large and you can spend the days with your family and have your own privacy. The televisions in the cabins are very small and in the living room the TV audio does not work well. No board game to enjoy with the family. I suggest you bring your board games.The water pressure is usually weak if several things are used at the same time. If there are two bathrooms in use, the water may come out cold from the shower.

Back to school getaway

overall, the trip was good. Cabin was a good distance from the things we planned to do. Prior to getting there I emailed Derrick to see if an early check-in would be available because guest would be arriving at different times, he never responded. Once the first guest arrived the door was already opened. There was only 1 Tv. and the downstairs showers were all clogged. The pool table was broken, and the floors were not cleaned. I eventually called Derrick and he did answer. He came to fix the issues the next morning and brought another tv. but we did have to clean ourselves, the towels were dirty, and we spent the first night without those things. Most of the bathroom are already had to be shared so for everyone that was downstairs coming up to use the bathroom was a bit overwhelming. We all were so tired after our Saturday outings we didn't have the strength to notice or complain about anything else. I think that if you are paying over $200 for a cleaning fee then it should be clean! other than that, it was ok. Property says its big enough for 16 people but there was no way near enough seating for us to have breakfast altogether in the living area, however there was enough beds for everyone.

Valley View

The house was beautiful and very clean. A couple of issues we think you should know about. We had texted Derrick and called and emailed him requesting an early check-in. We never heard back, but left a bit early anyways. The first group of folks arrived at around 3:00. The door was cracked open, so they just went in. The coffee pot was a five cup pot. Since there were multiple properties available, we called Derrick to ask if we could switch pots with one of the other houses, since we had 10 people. Derrick never responded. But we called the last couple that was arriving on Friday and asked them to bring theirs. The lock on the front door sticks. It took several attempts to unlock it each time. It may need a new door handle. The light by the dart board is out and we couldn't find another light bulb or the switch to turn it on. You also may want to have someone mark all the light switches so people will know which ones turn on what lights. The clock in the kitchen also needs a new battery. The TVs don't have any channels available, nothing was subscribed to. They do work though. We had two IT guys with us and we just hooked up one of the computers we brought to the TV. You may want to mark the 5 clickers on the table so folks will know which one is which and which ones we shouldn't use. Lastly, we had a major leak in one of the downstairs' bathrooms. We called Derrick and asked him to come as soon as he could, but we never heard back. One of our guys on our trip diagnosed the problem as the seal for the drain under the sink was bad. The rooms were comfortable and we stayed plenty warm and had a great time. Just so others don't have the same problems we did, I thought you should know. All of us stay at homes all the time, and have found if we let the rental agencies know the issues and they get fixed - we will stay there again.

Christmas Get-Away

We planned a Christmas get-away with our grown children and grandchildren. The home was lovely, cozy, and was exactly as advertised. It was a great time to spend with our kids and grandkids. The biggest con was the lack of internet service. The older grandkids were not happy with the inability to play their games on their cell phones. We would definitely consider renting this cabin again in the future.

We enjoyed our stay.

The heat was not on when we arrived. We turned on the stove til it got warm. No instructions or wood availability on the fireplace. But it was plenty big and clean, convenient and the parking was enough for 6 vehicles. No steep drive way.

Weekend Getaway

We used it for a little weekend getaway. There were a couple of “stank bugs” in the kitchen area that we killed. The rooms were clean and spacious, however; there is an outside suite that’s not attached to the cabin and you have to go outside back to get to it, which is easily accessible for wild life to enter as well. NOTHING is near so you might want to pick up whatever you want or need prior to going to the cabin. Also, there are 2 TV’s upstairs in the entire cabin (master bedroom and living room only) which allows streaming only…no cable. I must say Derrick, the property manager, was always available when needed and nice. Overall, it was an okay stay.

Nice place

Over all the property was nice for our 2 day family trip. For so many bedroom and bathrooms I found the layout to be slightly inconvenient if you want privacy(if it were to be, let's say, more than one family or multiple couples. However, it was a nice amount of space. TV in the bedroom did not work. There were no darts. Games and puzzles were not complete. Refrigerator door does require extra effort to be fully closed, but nothing worth complaining about. Just to be aware of. The house did come with many more essentials than a lot of properties come with which was a really nice surprise. They had extra trash bags, dishwasher detergent, toilet paper and paper towels!

Nice but needs work

Due to this being a new listing with only 1 or 2 reviews I was a little skeptical but thought that being new we thought we would give them a chance and that they would have had the bugs worked out. Pros: quiet location with only one other cabin within shouting distance, close to Helen GA and other touristy stuff to do, plenty of room for 7 adults, WiFi worked very well with 7 people on their phones or streaming. Beds were comfortable with the exception of what's written in the cons. Cons: what was probably most disappointing was that there was only one bedroom with a bathroom and it was the bedroom downstairs that only had access from outside, all other bedrooms had to share a bathroom. Furniture is dated and the upstairs beds are very creaky and loud, everyone will hear what's going on behind closed doors if you know what I mean. They still haven't worked out the TV issues, the only 2 tvs didn't work for most of the visit, be careful with the fridge door as it doesn't close unless you forcibly push it, pool table very wobbly, only 4 darts available and none had feathers which makes the dartboard useless. Outside trash container was full when we arrived and I asked when it would be dumped, never heard back. Did what we could so as not to invite any wildlife near the cabin. We don't think we got the best bang for the buck for 3 nights. If they can get the bugs worked out and your not worried about sharing bathrooms I would recommend at a lesser price per night.

Family Gathering

Bedrooms were just what we needed. House over all was good. Only thing was, the kitchen needed several things. Had no boilers (that was taken care of),needed vegetable bowls , tea spoons, measuring cups and a mop. All In all everyone had a great time.

Valley View Cabin

This cabin was comfrotable, spacious and enough for 16 people. Here are some of things that were not satistactory: When you pay such a large rental rates with adverised amenities, if should provide everything offered. 2 TVs neither of them worked the whole time were there - 8 days. Call for services - tech came 2 days later and still couldt fix. No TV for the entire 8 days. Internet was slow and erratic. No plan ground around the cabin - there was outside wedding reception area that we used to keep children when it was available. Outside dining - non - except where the Chacoal grill is in the parking area with iron table and 4 chairs. Kitchen utensils could use an upgrade. I rate this cabin - 3 stars
