Beautiful, quiet location away from the beaten path! Cabin was spacious and clean, everything was readily available. WiFi reception was best on the upper floor. The host was super accommodating.
Many thanks for the wonderful stay!
Small holiday park with a few wooden houses and places for campers / tents. We had a cute wooden cabin with a nice view of Canim Lake. Mountains and forests surround you, which is wonderful. Nice hosts. Quiet area, mostly nature. It is a pity that some activities mentioned are no longer possible (pigeon clay shooting, kayak rental). We loved Maddox, the complementary dog. Note: Check out time is 10 (instead of 11 as stated on VRBO.com).
What an absolutely amazing stay. Hosts are wonderful, kind and so thoughtful.Thank you for having us and making our stay memorable. The cabin is very rustic and comfortable, very quiet location. We'll definitely be back.
Great place to get away from the busy life and relax by the water. Enjoy a fire and the wildlife. The property managers are amazing so pleasant to deal with. Will be going their again
The nature there is beautiful! And the cabin is very cute. Has everything you might need. A shower, full kitchen, towels bath all the supplies. Unfortunately the cleanliness of the cabin could be better. There were many dead flies on the beds and spiderweb with dead or alive spiders everywhere.
We only booked for 2 nights but wish we had stayed longer. The property is absolutely stunning, right on Canim Lake with spectacular lake views and rolling hills. The cabins are basic, but have everything you need including hot water, electric heat and a wood burning stove in the middle for chilly nights (make sure to bring bottled water as the water isn't potable). The owners, Rudy and Dorothy were amazing - answered all our questions about the area and made us feel welcomed. We would absolutely stay with them again.
This was a nice, out of the way cabin at a great location. I chatted with others staying and with the hosts - everyone was pleasant and relaxed. It's a great atmosphere and a great place.
I will 100% be returning to this perfect getaway! The lake is beautiful! The can’t we stayed in (#6) was perfect for my wife and I and our dog. Can easily sleep 6 in it. Only downfall is we stayed a little to early in the season to get out on the lake in a canoe but will definitely be back mid summer for some canoeing. The wood stove kept us nice and warm through the nights with electric heat for a back up in case you forget to stoke the fire (witch I did lol). 100% recommend!
This property is beautiful and so peaceful!
Lots of wildlife on the lake including the otters that we all loved to watch running across the ice!
We definitely go back again
Great property if you’re looking to get away. Very quiet. Right beside the lake with lots of birds and wildlife. We watched three moose on the other side of the lake from the front deck of our cabin.
A superbly easy check in. One starts to feel the peace the moment you drive in to Canim Lake Resort. The cabins are well appointed and very clean; the views and bird sounds are peaceful; and the duvets are heavenly and warm. If you get a special visit from Maddox, a handsome and gentle lab who lives on the property, your heart will soar!
Everything went well. Nice quiet location. The other vacationers at the location were wonderful - no drunks and other sorts. Just families and couples vacationing, kids swimming in the lake, fishing etc. They even have a fish cleaning room! Would go back again.
This following was not an issue for us but be aware that there is no cell service there. There is Wifi, but it is $10.00 per 24 hours. In our cabin there was a note over the sink that one must boil the tap water prior to drinking it.

Beautiful, cute and cozy place!
We enjoyed our holiday at Canim Lake Resort for 2 days. Our log cabin was clean and pretty. We had a beautiful view of the lake from the big window. Our kids really liked the upstairs. It was very cozy. We had a relaxing family time as there was no TV, no phone and no internet (you could get WIFI for an extra charge which we didn't) . Although haze from the forest fires was bad from time to time, we still enjoyed canoeing and kayaking. We saw otters, American eagles, herons and loons. The owner of the Resort are friendly and very hard working people. The cabin was simple and there was no microwave, but we had all the other things we needed and we could even make pizza in the oven. It is a beautiful peaceful place we strongly recommend to visit.

Great place to get away, large or small group!
My family of 7 and I spent our BC Day long weekend at the Canim Lake Resort. Rudy is a friendly and great host and made sure we had everything we need. The cabin was large enough for six of us, while the other two had a tent outside. The cabin was very clean and had plenty of cooking supplies, clean bedding and towels. I would only suggest bringing a large pot to boil your water (we had a 20qt that lasted us most of the day) and a portable BBQ. A nice grass field is out front, great for activities, games, chairs and cookouts!
The resort had plenty for us to do: swimming off the dock, a hot tub, sports field, fishing, boat mooring, kayaks to rent and more. I would definitely come back and would recommend for small and large groups, family get aways/reunions. Child and pet friendly!

Emigrated from Germany in 1990 and never looked back! Worked here as trapper, guide, guide outfitter, angling guide, float plane pilot and resort owner
Why they chose this property
It was love at first sight! When you come here, you will understand! Living on the lake gets never boring: there is eagles, ospreys, ducks, geese, otters, beavers, muskrats, deer, coyotes, We enjoy hunting and fishing and spending time in the "Bush" Slowly we are getting older and when somebody offers us the right amount, we will retire.
What makes this property unique
You will have the same views from the cabin! Bring your binoculars and your camera!
