About this property

Quiet hilltop retreat

This lovely fully self-contained apartment has its own private entrance, courtyard, and filtered views of Angaston. You can walk to Angaston in about 10 minutes - the walk back may take 15 though!
The Apartment:
Having a separate bedroom with an ensuite, a large living area with a full kitchen, separate laundry with a washer and a dryer, a study and its own garage with direct access, this is an excellent spot for a short or longer break. The kitchen includes a full-size fridge, oven, hot plates, microwave, dishwasher and all the crockery, cutlery and utensils you will need.
There's a reverse cycle air-con in the bedroom and in winter you will love the combustion fire in the main living area or use the gas heater for a quick warm-up.
The living area and bedroom look out over the garden towards Angaston inviting you to the 10 - 15 minute walk (2-minute drive).
In summer, guests are invited to use the heated pool.
Angaston is a key town in the very scenic Barossa Valley with some of Australia's best wineries and restaurants within a 15-minute drive. Taxis and winery tours are also available.

We had a lovely stay recently. The property was peaceful and quiet with great views. The attention to detail, lovely provisions, wine, etc were much appreciated. The hosts provided great recommendations for the area and we look forward to staying here again.

About the host

Host profile image
Grant and Tony were frequent visitors to the Barossa before buying this property. We have renovated the spacious apartment for guests and are quietly renovating the rest of the property too.

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful home on 7 acres with glorious views. It is just a short easy walk into Angaston, but is uphill on the way back! There is a footpath all the way, but lighting is limited at night so you may want to use the torch on your phone.

What makes this property unique

Angaston is a historic town of great beauty with many delightful homes and public buildings. The property itself feels remote but is central and easy to find.
For those staying longer, be assured that there's doctors, chemists, supermarket, petrol stations and even a regional hospital with 24-hour emergency department.
