Tranquility

A warm welcome awaits you at Gumtree Cottage, a modern fully self-contained property nestled amongst the countless gumtrees on this 18 acre rural site.

Located only 10 mins from Hermitage road, the gateway to the wineries and renowned restaurants, the property is ideally suited to couples, young families & friends alike wishing to explore all that this stunning region has to offer.

Guests are invited to relax in the private hot tub, stroll down to the dam, where you can enjoy a fire pit, with wood & firelighters provided with our compliments. Blankets and cushions are also provided for your added comfort.

Sunset and sunrise can be enjoyed either from the hot tub which is at the rear of the property which is fenced or from the seating area and if you are lucky you can watch the local kangaroos grazing at both dawn and dusk.

At the time of booking, guests can request up to 2 well behaved, house trained dogs. Please refer to the policy relating to dogs prior to booking and provide details of the dogs you will be bringing in your booking request.

FAMILY WEDDING STAY
We were very happy with our stay at Gumtree Cottage. Everything was as in the description. Close to the Hunter Expressway and our son's wedding venue. We highly recommend this getaway. It was a very busy weekend for us but the time we spent at the cottage was very peaceful and relaxing. Will use this stay again

Getaway with the dogs
Amazing property in a beautiful location and minutes away from the wineries. Very clean, spacious and modern house with great views and we even woke up to kangaroos outside the window. Great fenced area for our two large dogs who loved swimming in the dam! The hot tub was great. Adrian and Judith are lovely. Thanks for having us and we hope to come back very soon!!

Great Getaway with the Pups
We really enjoyed our stay and found the place a perfect spot to relax with our two dogs. The place was very tidy and had all the ammenities we needed. Our dogs loved walking around the property and dipping their feet in the pond. Adrian and Judith were very friendly and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend staying here if you need an accomodation that is pet friendly.

Fantastic location!

Peaceful setting, comfortable cottage
We loved staying at this comfortable cottage with our 8yo son and dog for three nights. Communication and check-in were super easy, the cottage has everything you need for a short or long stay (fully-equipped kitchen, books, games), and lots of space inside and outside. The outdoor spa is wonderful and we were a short driving distance to all the Hunter Valley attractions. We’ll definitely be back.

Serenity cottage
This was a lovely place to stay very roomy for 2 people, very quiet and relaxing. The host is friendly, and happy to help with anything you might need, but is also happy to just let you do your own thing. I would recommend this place to any couple looking to get away to peace and quiet. We had a great weekend away.

Two day weekend getaway to The Hunter Valley
Beautiful location, extremely well maintained and presented cottage. Excellent communication with owner, late check out which was much appreciated. The outside was well enclosed as we took our dog, we saw kangaroos in the ground which was an added bonus and used the hot tube late at night under the canopy of stars. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gumtree Cottage. We enjoyed the quietness of the bush setting. The kitchen was well equipped for self catering. The outdoor space with dining setting, chairs, bbq and spa , overlooking the gardens and bush, was a highlight

We had a lovely time. The cottage was immaculate and quiet. Loved the hot tub and enclosed space for our dog. A nice drive to the wineries and easy access from Sydney.

We absolutely loved the place. The house was very clean and had everything we required during our stay. Adrian was super accommodating and we felt we were miles away from the hustle and bustle. Would love to visit again. Sitting in The spa and watching the birds and tress was so relaxing.

Incredible place to stay
My two friends and I had an amazing stay here, we saw a lot of kangaroos, the place was really clean, tidy & easy to get in to. We loved the hot tub, and there were plenty of games & DVDs to watch too, which was also fab. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the hunter.

Perfect weekend away
The cottage was clean and very comfortable. We loved the spa and the quiet, while still being in close proximity to a lot of wineries. It is a great place to relax and unwind. The kitchen has everything you need and Adrian was a great host. Would love to come back.
