Four bedroom luxury duplex chalet style Penthouse Apartment on part 4th & the entire 5th floor of the landmark building 'Lake Placid'. Gross internal area 124 Sq M, external balcony area 29 Sq M.

Central village location: 3 MINUTES WALK TO THE LIFT along the flat across the car park outside the apartment. Two minutes walk bars and restaurants. Supermarket, wine shop, chemist and delicatessen within the same building on the ground floor.

Luxurious apartment and central location: In spite of it's huge size, the penthouse is offered to groups of a max 8 people in order to preserve it's luxurious condition. The penthouse location is central yet ensures complete privacy and quiet.

This penthouse duplex apartment is probably one of the most luxuriously fitted apartment in the village, befitting it's prime central location - no expense has been spared on the fittings and decor.

With over 300 days of sun per year, the micro-climate of Valais lends itself to outdoor sports; in summer the temperature can reach 30 degrees C, but due to it’s high altitude (1400M) the air remains fresh and comfortable.

Local sports facilities: The Penthouse directly overlooks the sports centre of Nendaz, giving a birds eye view of the year round activities that are open to all: these include:

Football pitches. The Para Gliding landing site. Horse-riding. Children’s playground and bike obstacle course. Trampoline. Climbing wall. Ice Rink (winter). Tennis courts (summer).

Winter and summer sports activites: Winter sports: Skiing - Nendaz is in the middle of the vast ‘Four Valleys’ ski system with over 400kms of marked pistes, including Verbier. The lift with direct access to this range is 3 minutes walk from the apartment.

Summer sports: Walking and hiking – there are over 100kms of marked paths throughout the mountains for walking.

Cycling - Mountain bikes can be taken on the lift free during the summer season between June and September with over 200 kms of marked paths to enjoy.

Swimming – there is an outdoor heated swimming pool 5 minutes walk away where the water is heated to 25 degrees C from June to September – it has a sun-bathing area around it with sweeping mountain views for miles around.

Para gliding – the para gliding school is at the top of the telecabine and the landing site is on the football pitch opposite the apartment.

Golf – Sion Golf Club is half an hours drive away, and the championship course Crans sur Sierre is at Crans Montana 45 minutes.

Spacious apartment for 2 families with good layout and facilities. Location is great with supermarket downstairs and easy walk to ski hire / funicular which leads to the main ski lift.

The location of the apartment is perfect. Just a few minutes away from the Gondola, restaurants, supermarkets, tourist office etc. The view from the balcony is stunning. Would always come back!

Fantastic Apartment.
Absolutely fantastic apartment- spotlessly clean, kitchen well equipped and plenty of room. Being on two levels makes the apartment feel much bigger with great views from the balconies. Ideally located in the centre of town with 2 supermarkets close by and plenty of restaurants. Because the kitchen was so good we ate in the apartment for most of our stay. Excellent and easy communication with host, can’t recommend it highly enough.

Magnífico duplex en situación inmejorable dentro de la estación. Salón espectacular con vistas al pueblo y la montaña. Cocina bien equipada. Lo que sí necesita un poco de atención y algo de renovación son los 2 dormitorios de la planta de abajo. Tampoco es cómodo el guardasesquis y su acceso. Lo demás, todo perfecto!!

Op mooie locatie gelegen appartement
Wij hebben een fantastische vakantie gehad in dit appartement. Vijf minuten lopen en dan ben je bij de gondel. Wil je niet te veel lopen? In de garage bij het tegenoverliggende spa hotel zit een lift waarmee je naar boven kunt en tegenover de gondel uitkomt. Appartement was schoon, bedden prima en het is een ruim appartement waar je prima met 8 personen kunt verblijven. Enige minpuntje was dat het internet niet de beloofde snelheid had.,Wat bij gezamenlijk gebruik zorgde voor haperingen in verbindingen. Maar ach, dat is dan ff een luxeprobleem.

Tolle, zentral gelegene Wohnung
Wir verbrachten mit 6 Personen 1 Woche in dieser geräumigen Wohnung. Diese verfügt über 2 Doppel- und 4 Einzelbetten und bot allen ausreichend Platz. Das Internet ist performant, sendet allerdings nicht bis in die letzten Ecken aller Zimmer. Die Küche ist für Selbstverpfleger sehr gut ausgestattet; insbes. auch mit Grundbedarf (Salz, Essig, Öl, Gewürze, ...). Für den Genuss edlerer Weine dürfte es allerdings schönere/grössere Weingläser haben. Unten im Haus befindet sich ein Supermarkt, in wenigen Minuten zu Fuss liegen Restaurants und sonstige Geschäfte. Vom Skiraum im Keller ist man in 5 Minuten an einer kleinen Standseilbahn, welche einen direkt zur Talstation der Gondelbahn bringt. Hinter dem Haus befinden sich kostenlose Parkplätze, welche mind. während unseres Aufenthalts immer frei waren. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter und der lokalen Agentur verlief rasch und unkompliziert. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen!

I was born in 1961, and I grew up in Solihull in the West Midlands, UK,. I moved down to London in 1993 and I have lived in Highbury, Islington ever since.
I work as a volunteer Independent Visitor to children in the care of the Local Authority, and I also do mentoring work with young people.
I am also self-employed and run a property portfolio in London, and do some property development too.
I started skiing late in life when I was 34 and was instantly hooked.

Why they chose this property

I chose this Duplex Penthouse apartment as it occupies the entire top floor (penthouse level 5) and half of the floor below of a substantially built East / West facing building right in the centre of the village, with panoramic views over the Sports centre one way and down the valley towards Sion when looking the other. Apart from the vast open plan lounge and kitchen which is great for a communal meal, or for just sitting in front of the fire in the winer after a hard days skiing, there are also 3 very large balconies that serve the lounge and all four bedrooms, which are so relaxing to be on, particularly in the summer.
I really value space in a holiday home, and the 4 double bedrooms and 2 main bathrooms (+1 ensuite) , enable guests to spread out and have their own space when they need it.
There is a large supermarket on the ground floor of the building, accessed by a lift, meaning that shopping couldn't be easier.
I also like to have bars and restaurants on hand without having to walk anywhere or use the car.

What makes this property unique

A log fire at night is a luxury and this apartment has a fantastic fireplace in the louge which is a focal point when enjoying your apres-ski drink.
There is a private outdoor car park that up to two cars can use ; three balconies with the main one being west facing which captures the sun all afternoon right up to sun-set.
The central village location is ideal, and a passenger lift just across the car park takes you to the top of the village where the main telecabine is to be found (the Tracouet) linking you to the Four Valleys ski domain.
There is a heated ski / boot room in the basement for added convenience.
The apartment is only a half hour bus ride from Sion train station with links to Sion airport just up the road.
