Cosy timber cabin with everything we needed

Lovely log fire, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, easy walk into town and easy drive up to Kicking Horse for skiing.

Such a comfortable space

very easy to find and check in. great beds. overall space was very comfortable and relaxing. Wood stove was great although i could not find any fire starter so improvised with papers we had. Could have used a maul vs the axe to spit wood. Could walk to down town though it was several blocks. As Golden is a railroad town there is quite a bit of train rumbling overnight but the log structure dampened that well and there were no crossing horns. Good host communication. Overall just a great place to stay and wish we could have stayed longer.

Comfy in Golden

Comfortable, well appointed, conveniently located spot to ski Kicking Horse and enjoy Golden. Only thing that would improve it would be a hot tub

Great place, highly recommended!

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the four nights spent at the property. Superb wooden interior, great amenities, quiet neighbourhood yet a short walk to the center of Golden with shops and restaurants. Interactions with Gili were a charm, he really made us feel at home. It was our first time in Golden but won't be our last and next time around, we will be looking again at staying at Gili's place!

Awesome property

Gili and Ava were very welcoming and helpful. Their house is just as the pictures show. We had a great stay and it’s only a short walk to downtown Golden. This is a great choice if you are looking for a comfortable 3 bedroom home in Golden.

Cozy, Cozy, Comfortable....

The house is fantastic and the hosts are superb. We had a great time and felt quite at ease during our stay. Our hosts were readily accessible and responsive to all of our inquiries. The place is well equipped and the layout is quite inviting and clean. The area of Golden is central to all of the parks and trails you want to visit. Fabulous

Golden was fabulous. Loads to do and convenient for the area. The house was amazing. Beds excellent and the house is very well equipped. Delighted with everything and very happy to have found it!

Great Stay

Gili was a great host and was always happy to help with any needs we had. The upstairs bedrooms got pretty warm but with the patio door and windows open we were able to cool them down fairly quickly. We propped up some cushions to block the stairs and had a great stay with 4 kiddos under 3! Close proximity to several parks and walking trails - we hope to stay at Gili's again soon.

Great little spot

Cozy little house. Our group loved the fire place and the patio had lots of seating with some great views. Kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and other things like coffee, spices, etc. Would stay here again. Thanks for hosting Gilli!

Greatly equipped log style home. Comfortable. Great location. Owners readily available.

Very comfortable log style home conveniently situated close to town center and the ski hill. Kitchen well equipped with kitchen ware. Bedrooms have large comfortable beds and lots of storage space. The home is bright and has a wood burning stove in the center with ample wood supplied by the owners. The owners were readily available to answer any questions and help with any issues. For example they provided a longer extension cord to plug our car over night in the winter as ours was not long enough. Kitchen prep area is not very large ans the dining table can only comfortably seat 4-6 people. However there is plenty seating area in the living room to still enjoy the meal together. The wood burning fireplace provides a considerable amount of heat to the house in the winter and we did have to leave it on for the majority of our stay. The very clear and concise instructions placed on the fridge make the stay, checkin and check out process seamless.

Eva and Gili live, work and play in the mountains around Golden, BC.
Eva is a professional photographer and an explorer, specializing in high angle photo journalism as well as exploratory first in some of the worlds most remote and technical peaks.
Gili came to Canada from Israel in 2018 in pursuit of his dream to become the first Israeli IFMGA Mountain Guide. He works as a Ski Patroller at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort and loves to play outside in the mountains and join Eva on remote exploratory expeditions.

From Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, offering some of the best resort skiing experience in North America, to Rogers Pass National Park with it's world class backcountry touring and skiing and Bugaboo Provincial Park harboring incredible granite spires and home to all sorts of alpine activities. This cozy log home downtown golden is the perfect base of operations for anyone who wants to explore the mountains around golden, as well as being in walking distance to the brewery, bakery and shops downtown.
