Family and friends had a great time at this lovely cottage. Lots of water toys, beautiful home, great location. Communication with the owner was fast and easy, will be back soon!
Amazing private property. Great for dogs and kids . Clean quiet lake. James was an amazing host and answered all questions promptly. Hot tub overlooking the lake was an added bonus and amazing for star watching. Would definitely go back
Reminded the fam of going up to the cottage when we were kids. Despite the rain we had a blast. Cottage was well appointed and maintained and the owner was communicative and helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place more!
My girlfriends and I rented this cottage for a girls getway and we couldn't be more impressed with our stay. James the host was able to help when we needed it and went above and beyond. We would hands down be back. The lake was quite and very relaxing and the hottub was such a bonus.
Cottage had lots of fun features, such as the tree house and bunky. My partner used the bunky as a office space allowing him to work remotely all week.
James was very responsive and helpful. He was a truly a wonderful host.
Such an amazing Winter getaway!
Truth- pictures do NOT do this place justice!
From the moment we booked to the moment we left we were really impressed. The cottage is current and clean with lots of space. The property itself was very well maintained specially it being the winter with snow!
Hats off to you James, not only do you have quick response times when we've reached out but you truly have been amazing to rent from.
10/10
We rented the cottage for our family to have a nice relaxing getaway and it did not disappoint. James was easy to connect with and kept us up to date on anything we needed to know throughout. The cottage was stocked with water toys, games and entertainment. The kitchen was stocked with all the cooking and preparing things you’d need. The cottage is exactly like the photos. The kids slept awesome in the bunkie and loved cannon balls off the dock! The dogs had a great time with some Ready made long lines in the yard already and lots of space to
Roam around. We had such a great time and can’t wait to book it again!
My husband, son and I had a lovely stay on Leech Lake at this well-maintained, well-provisioned cottage. The place was sparkling clean and the kitchen had all the necessities. Comfy beds and lots of lovely outdoor lounging space. The lake was calm and quiet and beautiful. The deck had a dog gate on it and there were tie-out lines in a few places on the property which were wonderful for our dog. in The host was very thoughtful and responsive both before and during the stay. A lovely quiet family getaway.
We had a wonderful stay. The cottage had everything we could have asked for. Beautiful lake, great dock, lots of water toys. Great property, fun treehouse - grandson loved it, big fire pit for evening marshmallows - even a mosquito magnet that did a pretty good job of keeping them away. Cottage itself was roomy, clean provided pretty much everything needed - great BBQ! (Son loved it!). All in all a great place to spend time with the family! Thank you James!
This cottage gives you the quintessential Ontario cottage experience. Quiet lake with great swimming and boating. Great large dock with super comfortable chairs. Lots of life jackets and water toys as per description. The cottage was very comfortable providing the necessities. Our grandchildren enjoyed sleeping and playing in the well constructed bunky and tree house. The cottage provided an environment for a lovely family holiday.
The property is definitely the quintessential cottage get-away! You circumnavigate a good portion of the lake on winding gravel roads surrounded by trees before arriving at your destination. The photos on the site are good representations of what you can expect.
We were blessed with nice weather which allowed us to enjoy a campfire every night and enjoy the dock and lake every day. The paddle boat was perfect for our guests with young children and the adults enjoyed using the small kayaks to explore the lake. While on the cold side the water was still swimmable and generally calm, with small ripples when breezy. We did experience mosquitos and black flies (to be expected in June) but the cottage comes equipped with lots of spray and suntan lotion.
The green space allowed us to play games with the children (bubbles, ring toss, catch which we brought with us) and there were lots of other options in the shed.
Definitely bring lots of your own bottled water as you go through that faster than you think, and while you can drive into Bracebridge to restock, it is a trip you'll want to avoid unless you are also treating yourself to lunch or dinner out.
We encountered one small glitch on arrival and James was quick to respond and address the situation for us. While couples will also enjoy this space, we think it is perfect for families with young children/teens who like to be active on the water.
Every expectation was met, no, exceeded.
Immaculate. Rain or shine, this getaway spot was
Exactly what we were looking for after these last couple of years of ... would return in a minute!
This was an amazing trip for all of us (my husband and kids - ages 12 and 6). The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake and waterfront were great. Steps leading in to a shallow wading area where the kids could safely play - for hours!! The dock was great for relaxing and fishing. The paddle boat and kayaks came in handy to explore a bit more of the lake. There was decent privacy from neighbouring properties, and the lake was quiet and removed from any traffic noise. It was also great having a washer/dryer in the bathroom, which was new and clean with a great shower. And the view of the lake from the cottage was incredible. Morning sunrises we’re such a treat. We had such a wonderful time, and James was a fabulous host. Very thoughtful and responsive!! An amazing experience overall!!
We were shocked how clean was the cottage and appliances. The place is waaaay better than its photos. The welcome package was really nice touch.
The surrounding was beautiful and entertainment equipments were complete and good quality. We will definitely return to this place.
Pictures don't do this place justice. The view off the deck was breathtaking! The cottage was very clean, had everything we needed for our stay. The kids loved the bunkie and spent hours in the treehouse. We had access to the non motorized water toys, plenty of life jackets. The lake was calm the days we were there, not a lot of boat traffic.
It rained one of the days which was not a big deal given the wifi was great and the tv had more channels then we have at home.
The host, James, was responsive to our text messages and made us feel like he actually cared about our stay. Will definitely be coming back next year!
We had a great week during our stay.
Upon entering the cottage we had a surprising welcome package that included some sweets. This is the first time a host had something like this waiting for us. A small gesture which goes to show what a great host James is!
He provides non motorized water toys which include canoes, kayaks, and a paddle boat. This was one of the reasons we choose his place.
Leech Lake is a small lake which is great for kayaking and canoeing as well as providing a quiet getaway. Most of the cottages are owned where the neighbours are up for week ends.
The big bonus was all the bass we caught off the dock. The lake is filled with Rainbow Trout annually but one would need a boat to get to deeper waters.
We had a wonderful stay with our adult children and their partners. The dock and water were perfect for spending our sunny days. Cottage is bright and spacious with room for everyone to sleep. James is a great host and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Fantastic communication! We hope to come back again!!
