Enjoy tranquility on clear 'High Lake'. Explore Muskoka, a precious jewel of Canada's cottage country, or lounge on the dock at your private waterfront cottage. 2.5hrs from Toronto, with stunning lake and crown land views from living space and deck. 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 750sq ft; cozy & rustic cabin feel. Ideal for quiet lake getaways, paddling, fishing or yoga on the dock. Enjoy local Hatchery/Skeleton Lake hiking trails, 2 nearby waterfalls, 2 Kayaks, BBQ, fire pit, excellent cell service.
The space
The space
- South East exposure with bright living space and sunlight throughout the day. Large windows and view of High Lake surrounded by mature Pines.
- Misty mornings and gorgeous sunrises by the lakefront.
- Enjoy your swims in one of the cleanest lakes of Muskoka. Natural tanning laying on the dock which has full Sun first thing in the morning and for most of the day.
- Mature pines provide shady spots to relax in the cool breezy afternoons.
- Parts of the deck have sun throughout the day.
- Enjoy the fresh water drawn from the lake, filtered and UV treated safe to drink.
- Walkout from main living space on to the deck and BBQ dinner overlooking the lake.
- Wind down the rocky path that leads you to the dock - a true rustic Muskoka feel.
- Frequent feathered friends to spot are Blue Jays, Wood Peckers, Humming birds and Buffleheads if lucky.
- Glittery Star gazing nights.
- DVD player, HDMI cable to connect your laptop to TV

2. Weed free, Hard rock bottom
3. Shallow in parts left of the dock, but careful as it gets deep fairly quickly.
4. Approx 7 feet deep off of end of the dock, dive right in.
5. 2 Kayaks free for guests use. GUESTS TO BRING THEIR OWN LIFE JACKETS
High Lake Features:

1. Spring fed, deep and one of the cleanest lakes of Muskoka
2. Shoreline is weed free excellent for swimming
3. Drains into Skeleton Lake through "High Falls" waterfall which is a beautiful 40 mins hike through the wilderness from the door step of the cottage.
4. Minimal boat traffic

- Go kayaking, fishing, exploring the lake around crown land and cherry island.
- Fish Hatchery falls near by.
- Hike in the wilderness of Fish Hatchery/Skeleton trail hiking network.

From the cottage, drive back on Fish Hatchery rd to Highway 141. Once you hit the highway...
Turn right and drive 5 mins on Highway 141 to "Bent River general store":

Turn left and drive 10-15 mins to "Shell gas and general store":
952 Raymond Rd, Utterson, ON P0B 1M0
2. Huntsville - 25mins
3. Bracebridge 20mins
4. Rosseau falls - 20mins
5. Port Carling - 20mins
Limitation:

Hill down to water is steep (approx 20-30degrees) but manageable via steps and landings. May not be appropriate for people with mobility issues.
Guest access
2 car parking (careful not to go up the hump onto our septic bed please!!)
Great areas for forested runs or cycling.
