We (two stubbies 8+10 and two long-necks) stayed for a week during spring hols. The apartment was absolutely perfect for us. Clean, well maintained, everything you need but no crazy luxury (no need to worry you break or stain something, but free WiFi, smart telly and balcony with BBQ) and in perfect location right in the middle of the Waterfront precinct. Lagoon, wave pool and ca 20 restaurants and cafes directly at your feet.
Greg and Jenet made the stay super easy. When we accidentally locked ourselves out Jenet helped us in about 5min.
We couldn't be happier with our choice.
Perfect location for a relaxing holiday in the sun.
Large apartment with good balcony and full kitchen.

Best location in darwin
The apartment was very clean. The location is absolutely fabulous. Restaurants galore of every kind. The lagoon and wave pool fantastic for swimming. An easy short walk to the cbd via the boardwalk. The only thing I would replace is the towels, they’re becoming sad. Would definitely stay again
The flat looked better than the photos. Ideal for two couples or family. Location is great for the waterfront and cafes. Ten minute walk into town. Bit of an issue with one of the bathrooms but assume this will be fixed. Greg and family"s communication was excellent and very understanding when one of the group tested positive and had to leave the apartment.

Lovely, clean property in a great location. Excellent layout for a family of four. Nice to find basics for cooking and other touches to make our stay even better. Would definitely stay here again!

About the host
Hosted by Greg
Greg's an ex-foreign correspondent who fled Asia as Covid bore down, leaving behind his husky, his kayak, his mountain bike, his Defender 110, and those irrepressible smiles of the forever-happy Filipino people. He's most proud of his Tribal Adventure Tours company he set up by accident after biking with mates during a wicked typhoon to mark his birthday in the mid-90s. It quickly won accolades for highlighting the missing link in ecotourism--empowering tribal people. It's the winner of the Kalakbay (national tourism) Award. He's also responsible for Boracay SandCastles The Apartments and Palawan SandCastles Busuanga, beach resorts that persuade guests to swap lazing on the beach for activities and culture complete vacations. His other brainchild is Kayak Inn on the Tibiao River, a native-style adventure camp run by the Kiniray-a tribal people. Again, it's activities and culture complete. Come and be the active native in Darwin!
Why they chose this property
Best position being the Darwin Waterfront and absent the snobby exclusivity of standard up-market condo developments that build walls between residents and community. Instead we're part of a vibrant community in a picturesque seaside locale, just a stone's throw from the CBD. There's a host of amenities yet lots of space to do your own thing at the tribal-styled Darwin Waterfront Apartment. Tribal-styled? You're enveloped with Larrakia art in your apartment. This art is painted by local Larrakia artists. The Larrakia are the custodians of Darwin and its surrounds.
What makes this property unique
Add to the art are classic photos of the old Darwin that Greg visited as a boy. Darwin was a stop on the journey to Broadmere, a cattle station 180 miles down the road from Borroloola--now revered for its barramundi fishing. You can tap Greg to orientate you on foot and on bike. And, there's no charge. He'll pay his way too at the cafe and pub during your personal excursion of Darwin. Just request a day that's convenient.
