Where do I start in describing the WORST stayz experience I have ever had...
First, the host was extremely cagey in answering any of my pre-arrival questions. (eg, I had to probe twice to find out if we had a smart TV, or should I bring DVDs).
He also wouldnt give any information to confirm if I could arrange an online grocery shop, for delivery at the address after our arrival.
Secondly, despite advising the Host with WEEKS of notice that we would be arriving 'after-hours', and would require late-check in information, I never received this.
On the day of our arrival, we landed at Brisbane at 5.30pm, and the host had still not provided information on how to obtain our apartment keys (despite messaging twice on the day).
I then spent over 2 hours attempting to contact the host, the phone number listed at the property, and made 6 calls to stayz - being placed on hold while they tried to contact the owner, and the calls dropping out.
Finally at 9pm with 2 tired children, Stayz conceded they couldnt assist with our booked check-in, and we were provided with 'emergency' accommodation.
Comically, the host messaged me the next day with all the 'house rules'.
4 days after our check-in date, I received a text with information on how to access our keys as we were 'arriving out of hours'.
It was by far the most stressful, and poorly organised stay I have ever had with stayz, and I do not recommend this host or property to anyone.
