Great cosy cottage, exactly as described and the host went above and beyond to cater for us with rain and changes that we need. The backyard is huge but a few areas we told the kids to stay away from incase of snakes .So glad we read previous reviews and packed our own blankets as everyone needed extra. The place was well stocked with everything you needed like clingwrap, foil ect. Washing powder, dishwashing stuff salt pepper mosquito coils just all the little things we didnt think to pack. Will definitely stay here again.
We were two families with 4 boys between us who found this house to be a great fit for what we needed!
One of the beds was light enough to move into the master bedroom so the youngest could sleep near his parents ♥️ The yard was big enough for some pop up soccer goals and a kick.
Great deck with festoon lights to enjoy with take away pizza from around the corner one night. Fully functioning kitchen for doing a hot breakfast each morning.
Highly recommend 👍
A great place to stay in Dunwich and an easy walk from ferry, shops and bus stop if you want to leave your car behind.
The house had everything we needed for a relaxed family get together. Fully equipped kitchen with oven, dishwasher and big fridge/freezer. Washing machine/dryer. Books, toys and games, high chair, portacot. A great sheltered deck, plenty of seating, big yard for the dog. The whole house was light and bright and charming. The only negative was a lack of warm blankets or doonas on the beds, so I would suggest to bring your own in colder months. Apart from that we were very happy and would definitely stay here again. Thankyou!
Property was very kid and child friendly, there is a high chair, baby bath, baby gate and front deck is gated so baby can crawl around and play. We had a problem with the shower going cold/very hot for a long period of time while showering, which was our only issue. Kitchen very well appointed and stocked with everything you need, house was also very clean. Location is wonderful, just a short walk up the hill to the museum and dunwich shops. Would definitely stay again.
Great location. Surprised to have to pay extra for blankets, which were needed! The bathroom and toilet doors appear to be home made and while the toilet had a cabin hook to hold it closed the bathroom has nothing and there are gaps in the doors. The ceiling light in the bedroom next to the bathroom didn't work. The screen door on the laundry can only be opened from the inside. There are a few trip hazards throughout the house, if elderly people rent the house it could be a problem. We are in out 60s and 70s. No matches to use the fires which is ok if you're a smoker. though fire starters were provided. Couldn't find any instructions for appliances. Not enough dishwashing liquid or hand soap or scourers and toilet paper was light on as well. This may seem a bit critical but we did enjoy our stay and the house is a well maintained old place which has had additions over the years. We would come again but if you aren't going to improve some things that I've mentioned be specific in your description of what is and isn't provided.

We need blankets, but I didn't see
It's good. I can go everywhere. Close with shop, ferry,..
Everything was good except yard was really untidy.
Everything was really good except yard needed a lot of work. Grass was long and the yard just had heaps of stuff laying around. I’m glad I didn’t have little kids because I wouldn’t have let them play in the yard.
Nice clean and tidy property. The bed isnt very comfortable but it’s not too bad.
The veranda overlooking the yard was great for an arvo drink. Location was great and easy to find.
Communication with the host was very easy. Would stay here again.
This house was perfect for your holiday. We were three young families (kids all under 6), each family had a bedroom and enough space for all. The fenced in yard let the kids play without worry, and there were toys and books provided. The amenities were all new including a large fridge, clean bbq, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. The outdoor deck was a highlight, great for drinks and board games after the kids were in bed. Thanks!
This house exceeded our expectations. It was sparkling clean, had a really big yard which was perfect for our dogs, baby and just sitting outside on the lawn having a few drinks in the garden. Yard is fully fenced and very private. Nice deck to sit and eat on or have a BBQ and a great location - walking distance to the bakery and cafe. Very close to the ferry and a quick car ride from Point Lookout. Air conditioning and fans work well and lots of space to park. Perfect for a family. Hosts are very nice too, easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend and also stay again!
Finding a nice property on Stradbroke island can be hard as the photos supplied can be misleading, however I would highly recommend this property. There is enough space for 6 people to enjoy comfortably. The property is fresh and clean and dealing with the owners was easy as they were very accommodating. Looking forward to booking this place again
We had a lovely 5 night stay. The home was very clean, spacious and had all necessary kitchen items. It was also conveniently located to food shops, takeaway shops and local attractions.
We appreciated the complimentary shampoo/conditioner/body wash bottles they smelt lovely as well as the tea, coffee and hot chocolate sachets.
Couch and chair were very comfortable, furnishings were lovely and spacious closets. Lovely to have the outside table area.
Having off street parking was good.
Communication with Michael was great and he was very helpful and responsive.
Beds were a little hard and the garden could do with some TLC but great size garden for our small dog although would be good to remove the rocks and seal properly as she was able to duck under and pop out on the driveway but not a big issue for us as she was with us each time we went out and we appreciated being able to bring her.
Lovely house and would recommend staying here.
Great little house, pretty good location, a walk away from shop, transport and ferry. Clean and tidy house and yard, we loved the tomatoes and veggies you could freely pick out of the garden. Fire pit would definitely been used if not for the winds
