Cottage 55 is one of Canterbury Heritage Awards finalists in 2018 and 2010. It is located 2km from Cathedral Square and is on the South side of the City. Close to many outstanding Restaurants, Cafes, shops (The Colombo Mall) and Street Art.
This 1900’s cosy working man’s cottage comes with its own private backyard filled with Kiwi fruit and grapes vines and other fruit trees. The cottage also has a historical artesian well.
The Cottage has been lovingly restored to its original charm. It comprises two classically styled bedrooms (2 double bedrooms with queen sized beds), open plan kitchen and living room with newly installed eco fireplace and heat pump/ air condition provided. Washing machine, fridge, toaster, jug, Freeview TV and Wifi included as well as towels, shampoo and bath gel etc. Suitable for family and longer stay.

This is a really lovely little cottage to stay in. It was close to everything and had everything that we needed.
Our host, Steve, was great and very helpful. I fell in love with this place that is full of character.
